Intruder

Reagan took in a whiff of the sweet smell of fire. Smoke was rising from the center of her camp and she realized that the fire hadn't gone out last night. She heard a sudden noise from outside her tent and jolted up right away. Leaning slowly towards her bow, she quietly stood up, ready to pounce on whatever was out there.

She grabbed an arrow from her sack. Stay cool, stay cool. She drew in her breath unsteadily and shut her eyes firmly, erasing all of her thoughts. Damn it Reagan, stay cool. She sucked in air between her teeth and silently inched forward, towards the entrance of the tent.

Another movement was heard from outside the tent and she steadied her breathing. Getting her bow an arrow ready, she jumped out of the tent and in front of the intruder.

"Who are you and why are you in my camp?" She asked, not changing her stance, nor moving her eyes from the person in front of her.

After she had spoken, he turned up right and looked scared and shocked. His hair was brown and shaggy, causing it to look unkempt and dirty. His trousers and shirt were ripped and he held his hands out in surrender. " I mean no harm m'lady. I was looking for shelter and food. I had thought that the camp was abandoned. Please accept my apologies." He was sweet and his eyes were a deep brown which Reagan melted into. She kept herself from smiling at him.

"I accept. Please, do tell me who you are?" She removed her arrow and bow from pointing at him. Reagan inched closer to him and he stuttered on his words.

" My name is Jacob." He answered simply.

"Nice to meet you Jacob. I'm Reagan. Reagan Hood Mills." She replied sounding uncertain about the man before her.

His eyes widened, "You are Queen Regina's daughter?"

"So you've heard of me." It was more a statement than a question and she raised her chin up as if to nod.

"Yes. Well sort of. I know of your mother and her husband. The only thing I know about you is your name." He smiled a boyish type of smile and Reagan instantly regretted the small giggle that had escaped her mouth.

"Well I hope everything you heard about my mother wasn't all bad. She does try you know." She smiled and stood before him with her eyes examining every inch of his body, breathing it in and inspecting it.

"Not at all. I've only heard one terrible rumor and that was spread by my cousin so I can't believe it. Though," He eyed her closely and stepped forward, "I would like to learn more about you. Princess Reagan."

She winced, "Reagan will do just fine. And," She leaned in close enough to breathe on him, "there's no fun in sharing information." She smiled, "Now is there?"

They both looked deeply into each other's eyes and smiled. Reagan's dimples appeared and caused his smile to grow more once he looked closer into it. She was stunning in every way. Her hair was a silky brown which flowed down her back. Her outfit was a blue and tan tunic was held up by a leather belt and her pants were a black leather that hugged her curves nicely.

His tan tunic was also matched with leather pants but they were a bit baggy and loose. He smiled at her last words, "No. I guess not." He turned towards the woods and began to walk.

"Where are you going? We just met and you plan to run off on me so soon?" She asked following him a few footsteps.

He turned back to her, "I am going home. It was lovely meeting you... Princess." He winked and took off.

She rolled her eyes and smiled back at the fire which was dying down now

This is my very first chapter ever so please review! I have hardly any idea what I am doing and it would be great to get some feedback. Btw those of you who didn't catch on, this is supposed to be Robin and Regina from once upon a time, their daughter. Thank you so much!
