Chapter 1
So you decided to pick up this book to read? I bet you were looking forward to reading a book about adventure, action, or even some romance, right? Well this is the right book. However, I should warn you. This might be fictional for you, and that is perfectly fine, but some might say this is prophecy. I’ll let you decide.
Good, you kept reading. Well my name is Justin Fournier. I am 16, I have copper skin, brown eyes, and dark curly hair. Also I feel like I have a great sense of humor. I live in the small state of Rhode Island.
My adventure started when I was walking home from school. I see someone looking at me from a couple of yards away from across the street. I figure it’s nothing of importance, so I kept walking. I look back to see the guy walk across the street, still eyeing me. He had a leather jacket and black converse shoes. His shirt was black and red. He also had blue jeans on.
I start to walk a bit faster but I realized he kept following me. I look back a fourth time and see he was running at me. His features started to change from human to something far different. His skin color turned from white to dark red. He grew horns on his head and his fingernails grew another ten inches. He unsheathed a sword out of nowhere as he was charging at me. I didn’t know what to do. I was too scared for my life to move. Then someone leaped in front of me as the former guy was about to slice through me. I looked at my savior, who looked back at me as they were blocking the attack. I realized my savior was a female.
“Stand back!” She yelled at me.
I nodded since I was too mesmerized by her. Not because she was really pretty (don’t get me wrong she was), but because she saved my insignificant life. She was a brunette with fair white skin. She had gorgeous green eyes. She looked my age, but with this generation you never know. She also looked a little familiar but I couldn’t wrap my mind around it.
“I said stand back!” she yelled again.
I realized I didn’t move yet.
“Oh, sorry.” I apologized as I took a few steps back.
She watched me move back and then turned her head to face her enemy.
“The end has come.” the enemy said.
“I don’t care.” She said and stabbed it in the stomach.
“This is just the beginning.” It points to me. “He won’t survive to see it but the cast out one will rise.” then he disintegrated.
“What was that about and who or what was that?” I ask.
The girl sheathes her sword and turns to face me.
“Justin, right?” she asks
“Uh, how do you know my name?”
“Okay good. Can I go home with you I need to talk to you. Also I go to the same school as you dude. It’s me, Sandra.” She laughed.
(That was where I saw her before! I can be stupid sometimes)
“Oh yea! And sure you can.”
We walked to my house.
“Who or what was that?”
She sits on my couch.
“That was a demon. Well an assassin demon. It was here to kill you because you are very important in the end times, which I’m sad to say are about to begin.”
It was hard to believe her but the look on her face was serious.
“Okay? That’s all you know?”
“No, there is a prophecy that states ‘When the time’s come and the end is near, the world shall be entered in a state of fear. For the Angel of Light has come to reap the souls of those in darkness sleep. The Son of Man shall come from above, while the one he chose fights alongside the dove. But the Angel of Light will come again unless the chosen one locks him in eternity’s den.’”
I looked at her and said “So, I’m the chosen one huh?”
“Yes you are. Also the prophecy is talking about th-”
“The end times” I interrupted her. “I figured.”
“Yes, the end times. The Angel of Light that the prophecy mentioned is Satan himself and of course the Son of Man is Jesus.”
Then someone knocks on my door.
“Get back Justin. They know we are here.” Sandra whispered
The door opened and someone yelled;
“Justin, you home?!”
I got up and push Sandra out of the way.
“Relax it’s only my friend Devan.”
I greet Devan with a handshake and a quick, one-armed hug.
“Who’s this?” Devan asked.
“A friend from school. Her name is Sandra.”
“Oh? Okay, hello.”
I invite Devan to sit down and relax, which he did. He decides to sit in my computer chair and move it towards Sandra and me.
“So what are you two up to?” Devan asks.
“Oh, uh-” I start.
“Just homework, that’s all.” Sandra interrupted.
I look at her with a “what was that about?” look. This look consisted of a raised eyebrow and a small frown. She shrugs and then she jumps up.
“Look out!” she yells and pulls me down.
An arrow flies past my head and imbeds itself in my couch.
“My mom will not be happy about this.” I joke out of fear.
Sandra unsheathes her sword and looks around for the attacker. She sees a broken window but no suspect outside. She turns around to see the attacker right in her face, ready to strike her down. Thankfully, she was too fast and kicked the attacker in the ribcage.
“Stay here!” I say to Devan.
“I got more fighting skills than you dude.”
Devan and I get up and run to the other room where Sandra and ,apparently, a demon were fighting. The demon and Sandra had their swords locked with each other. Devan grabs a lamp and hits the demon in the head with it. The demon only slightly flinched and turned its head to look at him. Devan cursed and stepped back. The demon then turned its glance to me.
“The child of prophecy!” it snarled.
“Who me?” I joke out of fear once again.
“Yes, you.”it said a little annoyed with my sarcasm.
It kicked Sandra in the chest and jumped at me. I tripped walking backwards and it climbed on top of me. The demon was about to finish me off when a bright light appeared out of nowhere. What came out of the light was awe-inspiring. I saw a figure with wings that spanned at least ten feet each. It had a white robe. The robe was without any blemishes. The figure walked out of the light and I noticed golden blonde hair that went down to the figure’s shoulders. The figure, which now I could tell was male, drew a sword from his belt. He, this angel, without hesitation and effort, sliced through the demon’s body with ease. The demon then disintegrated and the angel sheathed his sword back in his belt. He then looked at me with a gaze that could make anyone retreat with fear. As I cautiously stepped backwards, he smirked.
“Justin Fournier! I see Sandra has found you finally.”
“I already apologized about that. There were many things that got in my way.” Sandra said.
“I know. I was just trying to break the ice… never mind that. Justin, has Sandra told you…”
“I told him everything.” Sandra interrupted.
“Okay, good. Justin time for you to prove yourself.”
“Wait! Who are you and what do you want from me?!”
Devan was sitting down staring at the angel with complete fear.
“I am Gabriel, the Archangel. You are the one Jesus has chosen to fight alongside him in the coming apocalypse and armageddon.
