Prologue
It wasn't supposed to be like that.
That was the only thing he was thinking about.
This wasn't the plan.
He should be in college studying, going out with friends, getting high at a college party and all that. Things that people his age normally do. What he would be doing if it wasn't for that one day.
The day everything changed.
The day life throwed a curveball right in his fucking face, messing up every plan, every dream he had since then.
Now he sat here, in an uncomfortable, probably way too expensive suit surrounded by people that are at least 10 years older then him.
That have more experience then him.
"Mr. Thomson?" a men said to his right.
He snapped out of gis thoughts and looked around the round, huge meeting table and found erveryone looking at him.
"Excuse me, what did you say?"
He wished he could've said it in a more polite way, maybe by adding the gentlemans name but he had no clue who he was.
"We were talking about the new office in New York. We were wondering if you would like to go there and personally check if everything is running smoothly there?"
What does he aspect me to say? No?!
"Yes, of course. I will book a flight after this meeting is over and be there as soon as I can"
You just want to get rid of me so you can work freely, I understood.
"I've already told Nina to book a flight for you, Mr. Thomson. You don't need to worry." The old man said.
"Thank you"
You didn't even expect me to say no.
They are treating me like a fucking child.
But he almost got used to it. Got used to be looked at with pity and to be treated like a child that doesn't know what it's doing.
Ever since that damned day.
The day his dad died and he, only 21 years old, became the CEO of one of the biggest companies in Florida.
