Chapter one

Ever since Fitz got stabbed in Exile, things between them felt different. He has been asking questions during their cognate training that are Getting hard to avoid. But not today, today she felt ready. And she was sure to pick a spot with no Keefe interruptions.

“Okay, now that we are alone, there is something I should tell you.” She stared at her feet, carefully observing the little flowers Keefe had painted on her shoes suddenly feeling an extensive amount of guilt adding to her knot of emotions. She rolled her eyes at the thought of Keefe making it possible to distract someone while not even being there.

“If it makes this easier, we can transmit.” Fitz said, she let him in.

Sophie nodded trying to ignore the excitement she could feel through his emotional center. She eventually decided to blurt it out before she could change her mind and come up with a good excuse.

“I think I’m in love...” She blushed profusely, glad the fake blush Biana made her wear would cover up the mess underneath. “With you” She finished, relieved that she could finally be rid of his obliviousness.

He started to pace back and forth, “Who is this you character? I have never seen him, is he an elf?” He laughed, “I’m kidding!” He smiled his movie star smile and held out his arms, indicating that it was time for a hug. She wrapped herself in him and smiled against his chest. “Now time hope the big question, should we be Fitzphie or Sofitz?”
