I thought you saw me
I thought you were intrigued
But I was just a fool who thought they could be loved
I saw you
I saw the wall you built
I thought I could be the one to break it down
All the times spent together
All the laughter and smiles
All the tears and breakdowns
They kept me hopeful but I was a fool for thinking I was special
Now you have found someone you want
All the wonderful memories and words have turned against me
Instead of building me up, they are breaking me down
I did not think I had fallen so hard
But with the truth now screaming at me I find it hard to hold onto something
I feel like I am falling and no one is going to catch me
I will never let you know how much I am hurting as I wish you all the best with your dreams
I will hide them from you so you can be happy with no guilt
I hope one day I can look at you again but I feel as though I never will
