Prologue

"I... I can't believe that you are just going to be a memory hereafter." He said as his voice trembled. He fell down on his knees near her tomb, devastated. Frustration building up inside him, he punched the ground... Again and again and again... The blood oozing out reminded him of the past that kept haunting him. He pulled out the sunglasses from his pocket, wore it and walked out to see the press assembled in huge numbers. The chauffeur opened the car door for him and he walked past everyone to get into it.

The chauffeur glanced at him through the rear view mirror and when he noticed, the chauffeur gave him a first aid box.

"Will it stop hurting?" His voice choked. The chauffeur kept the box back and looked at the roads.

He removed the aviator sunglasses to wipe the tear that was at the verge of rolling down and bent his on the head rest, closing his eyes tight.

The silence remained and the answer was just in it... Silence!

"Where have you all gone?" She whispered, staring at the portrait and sat in the corner of the room... Alone!

Thinking about everything happening around her, she sighed and suspended her feelings, getting back to her routine. She stood up and straightened the portrait hanging as she dusted off the frame, only to stop and caress it.

She regretted the past. It could have been beautiful... Happy... Filled with love... But it was gone!

"It is just as a memory that can never happen again, right?" She asked as she traced the faces. With a teary eyed smile, she blew a kiss and walked out of the house.

'I miss you.' She said looking at the sky with a sob.

Her puffy eyes kept looking here and there unable to realize the situation she was in.

The mobile slipped from her hand as she heard the footsteps behind. She picked it up and handed it over. She hugged and wept as she was unable to understand anything. Everything was confusing and she was comforted as they hugged tight.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
