The Twins

Hey guys, this is my first chapter, and it's not the best, so if you don't like it, please give the second a try before automatically not liking it. Anyway, if you like or dislike something about this chapter, please tell me and I will use it in the chapters to come. I am also sorry this chapter is so short but the second will be a lot longer. One more thing, I'm gonna TRY to post a chapter a day, but it depends how much homework I have and if I'm grounded or not and if it's a weekend or not.

Grace's POV

I was having a great time, it was summer, we were in the forest having a picnic. Mom had made it with roast beef sandwiches. Then, Jose appeared out of the blue, his purple robes flying in the wind.

"Well, well, I finally tracked you four down." He smiled

I grimaced. That smile was creepy, big, and evil.

Dad stood up and put me and my twin brother, Percy behind him.

"What do you want, Jose?" Dad spat

"Oh, you know what I want William. The children! Hand them over and I'll leave in peace." Jose grinned maliciously, his long bent hat looking as if it was made of the storm clouds approaching.

"You can't have them!" Dad shouted, gripping our wrists harder.

" Well, the only way you can stop me from taking them, is fighting and beating me. Which you know you can't do." Jose said, striking a stance as a very dark, purple magic circle appeared around his feet.

"I've gotten stronger, I am confident in my and my wife's abilities." He said, him and Mom mirroring Jose.

Then Mom and Dad launched at Jose, they fought and fought, Jose obviously winning. Then Jose took his katana, waited for the right moment, and stabbed them both through their hearts with one blow.

Before I could cry, I heard a twig snap behind me. I whipped around and saw a tall, somewhat fat man with bandages covering his eyes and a hat covering his head. He wore a long trench coat and a long scarf.

Percy, the stupid bastard he is, jumped in front of me, trying to guard me.

"Percy, NO! That's Aria of the Element Four!" I screamed.

"Why should I care who he is?" Percy snarled " The only thing I need to know is he wants to hurt you, and I won't let him!"

"Air space," Aria said tears streaming from his eyes "drain!"

Green rune circles appeared around Percy. Then the screaming started, Percy screamed of pain, I screamed from his pain. (since we're twins we have a link and I know when he's in pain and where he's in pain) Then suddenly, it stopped, the magic circles disappeared and Percy fell to the ground.

Jose materialized out of thin air, holding a vial and collecting air in it. Then I realized it wasn't just air, it was Percy's powers too.

"Give those BACK!" I shouted, running toward the purple freak. But I ran it an air wall instead.

"Naughty, naughty. Don't you know Aria specializes in air walls? We'll be back for you, we just have to drop something off." He said savings vial "Chow!" Then he and Aria disappeared.

I ran to Percy, everything else forgotten. We were three years old, who does Jose want us? I started crying, looking at my twins limp body and my mom and dad's dead ones.

Then I felt a strange presence approach. I turned and looked/felt for the source. Then I saw it, an elemental Dragon. It's blue, brown, red, and yellow scales gleaming. Blue for water, Red for fire, Brown for earth, and Yellow for air.

"Are you in need of assistance, young one?" She asked.

"Yes, please! We're trapped inside an air wall! Could you please help us get out?" I asked nicely.

She pondered the question. Then she looked at me in what looked like surprise. "No."

NO?! Why not?! You just asked if I needed help!" I shouted.

"I said that when I was far away, now that I'm closer I see you have strong magical powers and don't need my assistance! So free yourself with your own magic!" She said, as if it was obvious.

"I'm only three! I don't know how to use magic!" I shouted.

"The best lesson in magic is experience! Now FREE YOURSELF!" She boomed

"Ugh! Fine!"

I closed my eyes and gave all control to my instincts. Suddenly, without thinking, I stuck a pose. Then my mind fed me words.

"Elemental magic! Air release!" I shouted

A yellow magic circle appeared around my feet then shot towards the wall. The air pressure dropped, and then I saw the wall falling.

I smiled then fainted.

This was more of a backstory chapter so you know what's going on. The next chapter has more action in it
