LATE
Start writing here…Beep…Beep…Beep! BANGGGGG!!!
“This freakin’ alarm clock!” she shouted while uncovering her face from soft blanket. Her bangs were stick too her face because of the sweat. Her short and light brown hair was messy as her broken alarm clock which she just threw on the wall. Her brown eyes were as big as almonds , looking magical in the sunlight. Skin was light pale and was shining because of the sunrays that were dancing through the curtains. She was trying to gain consciousness from her long sleep. She looked at the clock.
“Oh sh*t!...7:35! Today I’m definitely going to late for the school. AGAIN.” She jumped off the bed and rushed to the bathroom. She changed her dress to her school uniform. And ran down the stairs as fast as she could. She can heard her mom screaming and scolding her for getting late as usual.
“You should wakeup early. I used to see many children of your age exercising outside. Why can’t you be like them?”she scolded.
“Mom because I’m not them that’s why I don’t do what they do. And I need new alarm clock….”
“Why? Don’t tell me that you broke this one too.”
“Actua-” Before she could complete her sentence her mom interrupted. “You know this clock was bought a week ago. We can have a clock for at least a month if you stop banging them on the wall. This time I am giving you a warning so BE CAREFULL you freakin’ piggy”
“Mom! Please don’t call me by that name. now I’m getting late. See you soon.” With that she left. Her school was a lot miles away so she used to take a bus for going there.
………30 minutes later…..
She stood in front of the gate which was still open but not for long. She ran to enter it before it could closed. The gatekeeper was always irritated by her habit of being late.
’uffff ’ she breathed heavily. Now it was the time to face next level – ‘Scold of Mrs. Park Hamji’. She hesitately tried to enter the class from back door but her luck is as bad as her punctuality. “ Wait. Miss Zini Hemsworth. I caught you. You are as late as usual.” She made a poker face. Her pointed noise look more pointed with her big – round spectacles. Her short black hair makes her more strict but suits her pale skin. Eyes were small just as normal Korean teacher. “ I was just trying to-”. Again one more interruption before her words could be completed. “ Detention for today.” Mrs. Park said before turning back to the board. Zini pouted and sat on her usual seat which was next to her best friend – Jung Eunkai. He was popular among girls because of his visuals and talents but unlike other kdrama he wasn’t a bad boy who likes to do party and have girlfriends. His blue dyed hair was matching his face making him more attractive.
“ You have dyed your hair?” she asked.
“Looking smart. What you think?” he asked.
“Looking like a gang leader.” She joked. “ I was joking. You are looking good in that.”
“So you late again. Is the clock ok” he asked.
“Unfortunately she passed due to heavy damage in her bones caused by her master with her taekwondo skills. RIP dear kitty clock.” He giggled at her joke. They were best friend since last two years. It was strange that a popular guy and a girl who was known by her weak punctuality and messy habits were best friend forever. This is a long of how their friendship began. Once Zini saved his mother from an accident. She also helped him in his homework and projects because she was excellent in studies but somehow she is a lazy girl. He used to protect her from the bullies. Slowly they became close friends. This is one of the reasons that the girls use to hate her and she only have one friend – Eunkai. The class ended. Zini note down the notes which Mrs. Park had explained. “ Let’s have a walk to the canteen.” He grabbed her wrist and took her out of the class. They finally reached to the canteen. He didn’t realized that he was still holding her hand.
