When we got to class I opened the door and everyone stared at us

"Ms. Scott and Mr. Kinght why are you guys late?" The teacher asked

"Some asshole decided that it would be a good day to bump into me which caused me spill my coffee onto my shirt, so I had to change"I was stated like it was no big deal, since I basically lied to her face

She nodded her head slowly while Cole and I walked towards the back of the classroom

"And Mr. Knight what is your excuse?" She asked Cole

"I was the asshole" he stated blandly

Emma Scott is well known around school, but it's mostly because of her best friend Cole Knight. They have been best friends since kindergarten and always had each other's back.
