Prologue
I stare out into the crowd of people looking at me, waving, sending me off to London for nine or ten months. Only three and a half people know the full reason of why I’m leaving. My sister, Gina, who’s coming with me, my parents, and my older brother, Jake, knows half of it.
“Let’s go, Hannah,” Gina wraps her arm around my shoulders and looks out into the crowd. “He’s not going to show up and you know that.”
“Jake could have at least shown up though. He promised me that he’d be here to see me leave,” I say as we show the attendant our tickets.
We’re taking off our shoes for Security when I hear my name, “Hannah!” I look around and finally see Jake running up to Camden, the reason I’m leaving. I start to walk over to him.
“Don’t you dare. You can talk to him when we get to London. We have to get to the gate before they start boarding,” Gina grabs my arm and I follow her after smiling and giving Camden and Jake a small wave.

“Gina! It’s happening right now!” I scream through the apartment.
“We’re supposed to leave tomorrow for New York. Couldn’t you wait a little longer?” She shakes her head, but leads the way out the door.
“I could’ve. He couldn’t apparently,” I rub my hand over my belly.
Fifteen hours later we are filling out my son’s birth certificate.
“Father’s name?” She asks.
“Camden. Camden Wells,” I say.
She nods and finishes up, finally leaving me alone with Bradly. I chose to name him after the doll I took care of when I was younger. I played with the doll all the time and Camden would tease me about it. He’d throw him around with Jake, but when I was nine or ten and that was still going on it was because I let it. I had a huge crush on Camden and he knew it. He was twelve, in middle school, and all his friends were messing around, teasing girls and asking them to be their girlfriends. He didn’t until after he kissed me. ‘I wanted you to be my first real kiss. Take care of Bradly.’ was what he said after.
I’m pulled out of my thoughts. When Gina comes into the room and sits next to me on the bed, “You and Camden done good. He’s an amazing baby.”
“Camden doesn’t get to know about him being the father of my son until I tell him. Neither does Jake for that matter. I will tell them at the same time probably,” I say. “Just don’t say anything about it. If they ask say that it isn’t your place to tell or that I met someone I love.”
“Of course,” She rubs a hand over Bradly’s small head. “But honestly you two make perfect children.”
I roll my eyes and hit her a little bit, “Thanks.”
