Chapter One
Londyn Rivers. That was her name. It screamed power. Everyone who had met the owner of the name knew what it truly meant to be swept away by the current of the river. To be sucked in and rattled by its harsh and unforgiving waves. To forget every thing you knew about yourself from one single glance. The strong urge to bend to her will. To obey and to please. It all seemed exaggerated and farfetched, but Armstrong College was about to find out just how powerful the wielder of the name was.
****************
It was exactly two weeks after the lectures officially started. Everyone had settled in and no one would have thought that maybe something big was coming. It was what one could call, the calm before the storm.
A girl in black four inch heeled boots, black high waisted ripped jeans and a white crop top walked down the hall. The heels on her boots clanked softly on the floor as she walked towards the designated room for her lecture, her bag slung over her arm. Her black straight hair laid softly on her back, the strands neatly arranged as the tips brushed just above he waist. The halls were empty, she had arrived few minutes prior at the campus. She started off late due to her busy schedule. It was not easy to juggle a company and studies. Due to that she had to ensure that everything and everyone knew their role well before leaving her company in their hands. At least they knew not to disappoint her, definitely wouldn't want that. Reaching at the door she brushed down her hair and checked her watch. Thirty minutes were left before the lecture ended. "Let's see what happens this year. " she thought to herself and opened the door.
Everyone went extremely silent in just about a few second. There was a pin drop silence as she progressed towards the front of the class. No one talked a word, even the usually snarly professor seemed slightly shocked at her entrance. Its not everyday a famous business mogul comes in for a lecture. Especially when that very mogul was popular for her dominant aura. She walked to a bench at the back as if no one was there, not bothering to acknowledge anyone's presence. Only when she had a seat did everyone seem to get pulled out of the very trance holding them in place. It was as if authority had got in and everyone was obliged to be silent as they got comfortable. The professor went on too ,not bothering to ask her name.
The lecture went on as she sat there, observing everyone in the room as far as her eyes could go. She analysed each and everyone as she set her gaze on them. Each one of them could feel their lungs tighten and their breath close in on their throats as she observed them. It made them feel entirely naked and conscious to her scrutinizing gaze even though they were fully clothed. As the lecture ended, everyone remained seated where as they usually ran off to another lecture. Londyn stood and leisurely walked out. Reaching the front of the class she stopped and faced the class. Everyone held their breath as she opened her mouth to speak. "My name is Londyn Rivers. But it's best to call me Miss Rivers." She said and walked out off the class.
When she got out everyone released the breath they were holding. Even the professor took in a huge gulp of breath as he held on to the table next to him. They then started to scramble out of the class. Meanwhile, Londyn slowly walked to her next lecture. Wherever she passed people got silent and paved way for her to pass. She didn't have to say the word, but it was clear that the aura she had drove fear and submission into anyone close or present in the room. As she walked to he lecture a few guys who she observed to be the school's jocks were standing in a group right outside the door of the lecture she was supposed to be in. They were standing right in front of it.
Standing right behind them she was irritated at that they didn't bother to move out the way. Not bothering to clear her throat or any awkward puny way to ask them to move she spoke, "I didn't notice that Athletics made one dumb. Are you all so stupid that you don't know the meaning of a door?" All of them turned looking dumbfounded. "Get the fuck away from the door." She gritted he teeth. They all unwillingly stepped away from the entrance. One by one walked away from the group trying to salvage the little control they had on themselves. Chuckling she opened the door and had a seat as she waited for the next lecture to start. Everyone in the room seemed tensed that she almost laughed. She definitely loved that she had that effect on people.
Whenever she got in a room you could clearly feel the shift in the room's atmosphere. Her gaze made you claustrophobic and her presence made you want to bow down and please her. Her voice which was like a soft command was something else. It made you feel everything you didn't want to. Fear, uncertainty and submission.
The last lecture she had ended for the day and like always she got out first. Everyone else followed after. One thing was sure, Armstrong had changed within the timespan of a few hours. Everyone couldn't help but worship the ground she walked on. With the same straight face she walked away. Practically the whole college now knew the powerful girl that had graced the grounds of their college. It didn't help the fact that she was unworldly beautiful. Everything about her pulled you in and put your mind in a frenzy. It just couldn't be helped.
Reaching outside of the building she could see her car parked a few steps away. Gracefully walking to it everyone around stared in awe of what they were seeing. She was clearly the storm after the calm. And everyone would get scathed when she was done.
Getting inside the car her driver smiled at her in the back view mirror. She gave him a small nod and looked outside. After a few minutes the driver decided to ask, "How was your first day Miss Rivers?" She looked upfront and replied,"They all helplessly submitted to me. Pathetic." And went on looking at outside at the passing vehicles outside.
Reaching at her mansion she went inside immediately. Her workers greeted her as she went inside and she nodded and left. As always everyone let out their breath soon as she disappeared from view. They all scrambled back to their respective jobs. Getting in her room she decided to get a shower. Soon as she got out her phone rang. Drying her hair she went over to the bedside table and picked it up.
"Rivers speaking." She said answering the call. "Don't be formal with me young lady." The person on the other scolded playfully. "Seriously mum?" She said chuckling and taking a seat on the bed. This would take a while. "Its pretty funny you know. How people can't help but bow down at your feet." She replied letting out a laugh. Smiling she shook her head and asked," Why did you call mother dear?" She asked knowing that she had probably already forgotten what she called her for. It was funny how easily distracted she could get. "Oh, I almost forgot. We're having a charity gala in two weeks. And well do you mind making a presence?" She could practically hear the pleading in her voice.
"Of course I will come. Send my secretary the details." She said laughing at her mothers words. Sometimes even her mother got over whelmed too just like the others. She got this trait from her dad, he was like her or probably worse. His aura was domineering and his presence got everybody on their toes. It was funny when she was young but as she grew under he father's eye and her mother's love she became the same. It couldn't be helped, her mum had said to her. She always laughed at that. With the way she had been close to her dad, always wanting to make him proud, it truly was expected that he would shape her to be just like him.
After talking for a while her mother finally hung up. Soon as she did she received a call from her friend, Candice. The only one who doesn't scramble and stutter at her presence.
Hey, let's go to a club tonight. I'm in dire need of a heavy drink.
Chuckling she replied, 'Sure' and got ready for the night. It was going to be a crazy night as always. And besides, she hasn't had a good lay in eons. She needed to have someone in her bed tonight. And if she got lucky, someone else to break and build. A challenge.
Beautiful.
Three hours later and Candice arrived at he mansion. She got down and found her waiting in her Black Camaro. She was in a tight black sheath dress. Hugging her in all the sinful places. Londyn couldn't help herself but ogle her. Gender never was a barrier when it came to pleasure. Going to around to seat in the passenger's seat she swayed he hips letting her friend know she liked what she saw. They had messed around a few times. Mostly when she needed to let out some pent up sexual tension.
Getting in the car and having a seat she could see Candice's eyes on her. Grabbing her by her neck she pulled her in for a quick kiss. Moving her hand brushing her side and breast as she did Candice couldn't help but shiver. "Don't tease me Candice." She said stopping all ministrations. Looking a head she said, "Drive."as she got her phone out.
Without a word Candice drove off quickly to their destination. The more they stayed in the car the more frustrated she got. She wasn't gay, heck she wasn't attracted to any girl. All except Londyn. Londyn who could melt her into a puddle with one snap of her fingers.
Reaching the club they both got out. The bouncers paved way immediately when they saw who it was. They passed through to the VIP section of the club. It was mainly the top part of the club. They could seat up there and have a good view of everyone down there as they chose their next conquests.
Getting a seat a waiter immediately came over to take their order. Candice ordered a Margarita where as Londyn asked for a bottle of red wine. Few minutes and the waiter had placed their drinks on the table. Bringing the glass for a sip she saw Candice stand up. "I saw my guy for the night, toodles." She said and left for the dance floor. Meanwhile Londyn just sat their and drank down the bottle of wine. Slowly but leisurely, she wasn't in a hurry tonight. No one dared approach her. It was like a silent rule. No one could approach her unless she deemed them worthy of her time.
Glancing at her watch she could see one hour had passed. Smirking she thought, ' Time for the cat to play. ' Looking down at the dance floor she could see Candie dancing with a certain guy. He had black hair and was muscly. That's all she could notice from where she was since it was a bit dark. As she leisurely moved her eyes around the sea of people down there something or rather someone caught her attention. He was sitting by the bar with a couple guys who were probably his friends. She could remember some of the guys as the stupid jocks from earlier today. He was laughing at something one of them said and she couldn't help but smile at the sight. He was beautiful and he was hers for the taking. Simple as that.
Deciding she had sat there for long enough she went down. Walking towards the bar everyone automatically paved way for her. Reaching near the group of guys they noticed her presence. Those from earlier scrambled away making stupid excuses. Two remained with the guy. They still hadn't noticed her. She went and sat beside them ordering glass of vodka.
The guy saw her and told his friends to leave. "Hey there beautiful." He said. She was still looking upfront not giving her his attention yet. He moved closer and put his hand on her back. "I was talking about you beautiful." He said again. She sipped her vodka still not giving him her time of day, impatient aren't we? Frustrated, he tapped on her shoulder. "Did you hear me?" He asked his jaw clenching.
Turning to look him in the eye. He could feel his breath get caught in his throat. His eyes were clouded in fear for a while. Afraid and confused why he wanted to just simply fulfill any of her wishes. Even if she would tell him to jump off a cliff he probably would. Her eyes were intense and seeing her full fave was definitely doing things to him. "Name?" She said with one of her eyebrows raised. "L -Lucas Miss?" Miss? He thought in his head. Where the fuck did that even come from? "Full name Lucas." She said to him. Every nerve in his body tensed as he heard his name roll of her tongue, her voice sending a zing of pleasure to his groin that he had to stop the whimper threatening to get out. "U-U-Um--" he replied but she cut him off." Don't stutter Lucas." A hot red tinge crawled up his neck as he looked down down. "Lucas Monroe Miss." He quickly said, his he as now looking everywhere but at her.
She hummed then said,"Beautiful." He couldn't help but blush. His heart was pumping furiously against his ribcage. Her gaze made him feel conscious of everything. Suddenly his clothes didn't feel good enough, making him wish that he had made more of an effort. "Sit." She said and he scrambled to take a seat on the bar seat. She chuckled at his helpless state and he just blushed.
Downing the glass of Vodka she got off her seat. Having high alcohol tolerance came in handy. She got off the bar seat and stood before him. She placed her hands on his thigh and suddenly he could feel the skin burn underneath her palm. The warmth went straight to his groin once more and he almost groaned out loud. Pulling him down by his collar he could feel her warm breath assault his neck. Pulling him down further she pulled on his ear with her teeth and he gasped. Licking where she had bit she chuckled. Her hand moved from his thigh to his waist. "When I step away you're gonna come with me. Or is there somewhere else you need to be tonight?" She whispered. " N-n-no miss." he stuttered.
Stepping away he almost cried at the loss of contact. She had him where she wanted and even he was aware that he no longer had control over his body. "Tell your friends you're leaving. If five minutes pass and you're not out." She didn't say anything else but he could clearly hear the threat in her tone hanging in the air. Pulling him down for a quick kiss she turned on her heels and left.
That was his cue to quickly find his friend,Bryce. He told them he had to leave right away. As he got out of the club he couldn't help but wonder how quickly things had changed in a span of short time. A really short time at that.
