Prologue
‘Pitter-platter’, ‘Pitter-platter’
All five people dressed in all black suits and dresses surround the two tombstones on the ground. Both said ‘Hazeldines’.
“We are at the gathering today for Mr. and Mrs. Hazeldine’s death. They are one of the best detectives and people I have known on Earth. They have supported me every step in my way and that they have been one of the most kindhearted and hardworking people. They had never failed a mission or let anyone down. Yet, god has let them down. God had taken their lives away and left behind their beautiful girl. They are in a better place now and they would be in our thoughts, always. May they rest in peace.”
“Here, I will announce the will of Mr. and Mrs. Hazeldine. I, Louise Hazeldine along with my wife Emma-rose Hazeldine, revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions made by me and my wife and declare this to be my last will and testament. I appoint, Bellarose Fawn Hazeldine to be the sole heir of this will and I give to Bellarose Fawn Hazeldine absolutely my real and personal property. In witness of which I have set my hand to this well this 14th day of August 1999. Signed by the above-named Louise Hazeldine.” The lawyer closed his suitcase and carefully placed the will on the table of old Mr. Hazeldine.
He overlooked outside on the window. Thoughts filled his mind. The thought of losing both his son and daughter in law pained him but it sounded to him like they knew that they would be gone, forever, after this mission.
Glancing back behind him was his granddaughter, his only granddaughter. He was glad. A part of his son and daughter was still here. He promised he would raise her like he would raise his own child. To become stronger, to become fiercer and smarter. The one and only in the world – Bellarose Fawn Hazeldine.
