Prologue

My life use to be great; I had wonderful parents and a great home life. I never thought my life would turn into shit. I’ve tried to be happy; it never works. I can’t keep going on with my life knowing I’m unhappy.

My mother walked out on my father and me. She just left without a care in the world. My father was broken; so was I. I had to be there for my father, so I had to act strong. I’ve tried to be strong for half of my life, but everything I do is an act. I don’t want to disappoint my father.

My father thinks I’m okay; he’ll check up on me. I know he worries sometimes; I don’t want to worry him at all. I tell him I’m okay all the time. He can tell when I’m lying; I make sure to keep a happy face on whenever I’m around him. I love my father; I don’t want him to worry.

Every night it gets harder and harder to sleep because my mind never gets a break. I am continually thinking of something. It’s mostly bad things I think about; it’s mostly the ‘what ifs.’ It’s hell. I hope it would all stop; I wish I could be happy for once. I miss being happy.

Another story I am going to love. Just fix your punctuation. There is not much, only a couple of them, but overall doing great.
