Tae's POV

Here I am, in the hospital. I've been sitting here for the past two hours, not really in the mood for anything at all. I'm just weak, sick, and tired. I feel like life has given up on me.

Honestly every since I've been diagnosed with lung cancer, hospitals have always been scary. I'm afraid of what my results would always be or paranoid to hear all the downfalls of everything. That's why I try not to worry.

"How are you feeling?" My great friend, Jimin asked with the most concerned look on his face.

"Dead." I responded with a bore look on my face. To be honest, I really didn't feel alive at all.

"Hey! Don't say that..it freaks me out." He yelled as he lightly nudged my weak arm. We both just let out chuckles and slightly sighed.

"Hopefully we get good results this time when the doctor checks up on you. Just know that I'm always right here for you." He reassured, wrapping his small arms around me and squeezing my body in his tight embrace.

"Let's just hope so! Thank you, Jimin." I smiled at him before licking my dry cracked lips, suddenly taking my attention off him and on the doctor walking in the room.

"It's time for your check up Mr. Kim." He smiled, cueing for Jimin to kindly go wait in the other room which he did.

"Hey, Doctor. Min..." I gulped, not ready for what we have to do today.

"Taehyung, you've gotten quite skinnier from the last time that I've seen you..have you been eating at all?" Doctor. Min asked as he wrote down some things on his notepad.

"I haven't..I mean I have..just not a lot. I haven't really had an appetite lately." I answered as a nervously connected my hands in front of me, looking down at the floor.

Doctor. Min had a disappointed and worried look on his face. He came closer and patted my arm.

"You need to eat. It's very important, and you know to drink water at least six times a day." He declared.

I nodded and sighed to myself, hoping all of of this will be over quickly.

"Let's go do your chest X-Rays, and your CT Scan." He said guiding me into the other room.

It seemed like it took so long, especially when Doctor. Min was observing my X-rays. He never took that long before, so it was kind of scaring me.

"Mr.Kim.." He called me over and sighed while closing his eyes for a second. By his actions I could tell something was wrong, but I was too afraid to even know.

"From the loss of appetite, and the decreasing of your daily activities, it's not looking so great. Your CT scan didn't come back good. Your tumor is-"

"Please just stop right there." I pressed my lips together and covered my face. These are not the words I wanted to hear.

"We will mail you the paperwork regarding your situation as well as some Xalkori medicine." He said quite sadly. I nodded my head and frowned.

"Also you can always try and get the surgery, Taehyung. It can increase your chances in living." He stated.

The surgery was way too expensive and I have no one to help me out to pay for it. Jimin doesn't make much money, so I don't want to ask him for any, and so I just shook my head.

3rd Person POV

The check ups that Taehyung normally has never took as long as this one did which really worried Jimin.

He nervously bit onto his nails as he paced back and forth.

"You okay there, buddy?" Seokjin: one of the best doctors there asked, taking small glances at the shorter boy as he read the paper work in front of him.

"Doctor Kim! I don't know what might be happening. W-what if they come out with bad news..I'm scared." He quickly ran up to Seokjin, hugging him out of habit.

Seokjin comforted the younger by rubbing his back. He sighed because he couldn't really say anything else. He doesn't know what may happen either, so he couldn't say that everything will be fine.

"Just pray for your friend, my boy. That's all you can really do right now." He pulled Jimin back so he can see his face which was filled with tears.

"I just don't want to lose my friend. My only friend!" He choked on each cry, only attaching himself to the doctor again.

Seokjin didn't want to leave Jimin there crying alone, so he took a seat with Jimin to wait.

The door suddenly opened and Taehyung walked out with a sad expression on his face. Jimin immediately stood up and ran to his best friend, giving him the biggest hug.

"How did it go? Is it getting better? What did Doctor. Min say?" He asked worriedly, but Taehyung didn't want him to worry more than how much he already was so he just smiled.

"It'll be fine." That's all Taehyung could say before grabbing his friends hand and exiting the hospital.
