The night
Looking into the darkness.
Feeling all of the emptiness.
Then I turn on the light.
Where before I feared night.
But scared shadows I see.
Scattered round in front of me.
Looking towards my door.
Knowing poison in my core.
I look around once more.
Stood the shadows from before.
As I leave to walk the town.
I feel snow flakes on my crown.
Soon the area was imbedded.
Ankle deep each step treaded.
No shoes or sock had I worn.
So cold blisters feel like thorns.
I will reach his house.
Tread on that tiny mouse.
For an hour I’ve walked.
To myself is who I’ve talked.
Collapse as my feet freeze.
God let me smite him please.
I take a deep breath of air.
Hardens saliva sitting there.
Through the pipes of the machine.
Travelling extremely fast and keen.
And as it tumbles and shakes.
It crumbles falls and breaks.
So the last light in my eyes.
Fade as my will to fight dies.
