Two hundred years ago, humans and creatures from the night lived in peace and harmony. They lived in the same neighborhoods, their children went to the same schools and humans and these creatures would even get involved romantically. Peace and harmony ruled the world for decades... until a human was caught trying to assassinate the Fey King. The human was caught before he could complete the attempt and he was sentenced to death without fair trial; and the humans were angry.

For days humans and the creatures assaulted each other in the streets, and no one knew what to do. The scandal was putting friends against friends along and husband against wife. No one from either sect knew what to think or what should be done and as a result the fighting ensued for days. Representatives decided it would be in everyone’s best interest to gather both sides and form a guild, and like any other political group arguments were thrown from both sides. Things were said that made the situation irreparable, and as a result humans declared war against the creatures of the night.

The war waged on for years, neither side letting up. Humans were sadly outnumbered because of what the creatures called an inferiority complex. The humans were just a race of a single species while the creatures were made of five different species; the Fey, Lykos, Elves, Vampyrs and Wickans. Their odds of winning were far better than that of the humans and they weren’t afraid to let it be known.

Many of the humans died during the years that the war occurred but only a fraction of that was the creatures death toll. The only way the humans made their impact was to kill the important Supers, sending them a message, but soon humans all over began to surrender, submitting to the creatures’ rule.

With the creatures winning, those who had lost loved ones in the war decided that it wasn’t enough to just have won the war, they wanted to own the humans; to dictate their every move. Unknown to the humans the representatives came together to pass human laws in their new world order. Humans were reduced to being slaves and blood donors, while still being stranded to ghettos.

The states were then split into districts for the different creature races to rule. The Fey people and the Elves being peaceful and forgiving creatures opted out of ruling the humans. Both races took to the woods; their loved home... Neither race wanted ill will towards them from the humans. They feared another uprising and with all the humans were able to learn during the first war there was sure to be greater loss from the supernatural side.

Many humans still tried to rebel against their supernatural Lords and Ladies, and those who did were made into an example. Few humans tried and succeeded in escaping, running to the Fey King and Elf Lord for protection. Sick of being treated like animals a human resistance group called H. A. D, Humans Against Darkness, was soon formed and they slowly tried to reclaim the world they once knew.

Meanwhile the creatures of the night were waiting on the birth of the newest generation. Aed, the Fey King, and Isaac, the Alpha King of Lykos, were each preparing for the birth of their first child. Both Aed and Isaac were friends and had been for a long time. The fact that their children were born on the same day came to Aed and Isaac as an omen from the Goddess of the Night, Nut. They had yet to discover what it meant, but they knew that the Goddess touched their children. Years would pass before they had actually discovered what the omen would mean...

Alpha King Isaac along with other members of the council knew that the humans would never achieve anything, so happily the y threw a huge party, inviting all the supernatural creatures and their humans servants as they could. Everyone sang and danced enjoying him or herself immensely. That night Aed and Isaac’s children even got to meet.

Upon meeting, it was clear that the two children shared a bond. Even at a small age it was clear that the love between the two would be powerful. Seeing that their children shared a bond made both Kings and Queens happy; after all who wouldn’t want their child to have a bond with a great friend’s child?

That night the Kings foolishly announced that they would be tying their races together through a bonding. Outraged at the racial powerhouse they were creating, the Vampyrs and the Wickans tried to kill the children; trying to destroy the very thing that could make both those bloodlines stronger. Vampyrs and Wickans ultimately started a war within the supernatural community. H. A. D couldn’t have been happier, they finally had a chance to win the war...

Only a year later did the assassination of the children finally happen. Unknown to anybody their souls were to be reborn, thanks to the Fey Queen praying to the Goddess Nut. Her prayer was that in the event their children were murdered, each child would be reborn until their souls had found each other again. The story of the children’s rebirth was told throughout the following years. They were known as the Bound.

The year is now 2013 and the Fey population is extinct while the Lykos and Elves are still fighting off the Vampyrs and Wickans. Isaac is the only one who remembers the prophecy of the Bound. Knowing that his own son is one of the Bound he has kept a close eye on him and has kept an eye out for the last Fey...
