Pokémon - Under the Moonlight

It was only the middle of the night when I left the house. I expected to find a strong Pokémon, one that would help me beat the Dark type Gym Leader. I had been trying to defeat the Gym Leader Daria for almost a week now with my current team. So far I had probably spent almost 1200 poké dollars on Healing items.

In the tall grass in front of me, I saw the movement fluttering from my eyes. I caught a blur of brown. Swiftly, I ran straight into the green.

The Pokémon pounced in front of me as I threw my Pokéball toward the shining spot in front of it. The ball unlatched and a beam of light zapped from the inside. From the light appeared my Purrloin. I had received her from my mother at the age of four as a birthday present. I only started using her for battles when I turned sixteen. That was also when I recieved my starter pokémon from the professor Kukui. Of course I chose the grass type Rowlett because of how cute she was when I saw her. Yet, it seemed that she wasn’t strong enough to help me beat the gym leader after we moved.

The pokémon in front of me was easily recognizable. It was an Eevee. The cutest pokémon you would ever find in this region. If you didn’t already know, Eevee could evolve into seven different pokémon.

I quickly commanded Purrloin to scratch the opponent. This brought the Eevee to just enough health to be able to catch.

Throwing the pokéball with my left hand, I crossed my fingers. This was the chance to defeat Daria. I watched intensively as the ball shook slowly, as the pokémon tried to break free from its cage.

The intense moment dissipated as the pokéball locked with a click.

I jumped up and down. I was excited. And in my excitement, I didn’t notice the strange pink light hovering strangely over the pokéball.

When I calmed down, the light had floated away.
