The Day We Met
It was the second day of high school, that he met her. Her eyes illuminated the halls they walked- It was love at first sight.“Hey- You going to homeroom?” Said the ever so eager Lucas.
“Yeah, I’m in class 1-B, I thought I saw you in assembly yesterday,” She said, a beet red blush crept up her face as she glanced down to avoid his starry-eyed gaze. But the urge was irresistible. As she passed out, Lucas caught her in his welcoming arms.
And whispered into her cold ear, “ I got you ”
The warmth of his breath sent shivers down her spine- Only a few seconds in, and she experienced otherworldly euphoria. Bell. Snapped back into reality, she hugged her books tightly and disengaged from the conversation.
Off she went to homeroom, constantly replaying this magical moment in her head over and over. She walks into homeroom in disbelief as the only free chair… is next to Lucas. Dropping her books in shock and awe, she gasped a breath of surprise- It was him. The guy from the corridor. Lucas. He beckoned her over, and she glanced at the floor trying not to fall into the black hole of his eyes. She sat down and began to realise he is discreetly taking a picture of her...Flash. “Your flash is on” Holding back her laugh.
“Oh right. I was taking a picture of my hands” He says stowing his phone away in a rush and blushing slightly.
“You two lovebirds better break it up- I’ve a day of lessons to teach,” sighed Miss Jensen
They both giggled to themselves mischievously. Until they finally calmed down and stared at each other in awe. Realising how much more they wanted each other. They then both head to their next class. Science.
Both Lucas and Sarah adore science, as they did one another. Sarah takes a seat at the back. And realises there is only one space left when Lucas strides through the door. Her heart dropped. Class begins. She begins to sweat as she can feel Lucas' eyes undressing her. Sarah begins to dream of them together. All of a sudden “Sarah what is the answer to question number 2?” Sarah scrambles at her notes before realising Lucas' lips mouthing the answer. She once again spaces out and sighs in awe. Without realising the teacher had moved on and she was still eagerly staring at Lucas.
Though his complexion showed nothing but warmth, beneath it, was a sight to behold.
