river university
Fresh new life. With a new environment and new faces and different people.
And Lucas Williams was beyond terrified.
Don't get him wrong; River University was a wonderful college and he kept up with his grades and his part-time job. It was just that he wasn't very good at socializing or anything like that, and not many people were going to major in what he was; agriculture.
He sighed as the bell rang and signaled the end of classes, meaning the students could roam wherever on campus. He decided to make a pit stop at the greenhouses then go and try to find somewhere particularly unoccupied and calm for studying.
He made it to the greenhouses in record time and got to work tending for the plants, which seemed to lean into his hands as he tended to them.
He didn't know why they did that. Probably because they were inanimate and couldn't see what he saw. What he saw was a socially awkward loser with messy dirty blonde hair, hazel eyes with blue flecks, pale skin, freckles, and a thin frame. The plants probably saw just another green thumb.
He finished up and put away the cups of water, leaving briskly with his messenger bag over his shoulder. He needed to find somewhere peaceful and calm to study for Mr. Olsen's beginning of the unit test. The greenhouse wouldn't work since he'd feel the obligation to tend to them every five seconds and wouldn't get actual work done. The library was already occupied by students who had that idea and got there before him. So he wanted to find an unoccupied, quiet, sane place that hopefully smelled nice. Soothing scents always seemed to calm him and sharpen his mind.
This led him to Terra Cotta Cafe.
