(1) DISAPPOINTMENT

• J A R E D•

The heavens are disappointed. Virgin Mary is disappointed. Jesus Christ is probably disappointed. Angels above have disappointment written all over their features. But the two women in bed with me? No. I'd say the opposite.

I stirred under two bare figures, each of them having a limb wrapped around my torso. I reached for my mouth to remove a few strands of hair of the woman on my right.

Bleh!

The one on my left started trailing kisses from my jaw down to my neck. She was half awake. A grin made its way to my lips and I bit her lower lip and tugged, earning a sexy smile from the seductress. She growled and kissed me before going back to sleep, putting her face in the crook of my neck.

Deciding that the sunlight shooting through the windows was too blinding to be ignored on this wonderful morning, I slowly got up, removing myself from our small pile of three.

As I did, I slapped a bare butt and snickered to myself.

Bouncy!!

The lady groaned and her hand patted the empty space where I had laid a moment ago. Eventually, she found the other woman and moved closer to her. They wrapped their arms around each other and squirmed. The movements caused my black silk blanket to ride down from their chest to their waists, giving me a good view of what I managed to score last night.

I sighed with contentment. I pulled the gray velvet curtains close. I picked up the remote on my bedside table and pushed a few buttons, turning the indoor lights on and setting them not too brightly.

I entered my wardrobe and opened a drawer full of sweats. I grabbed the first one I saw and put them on.

I then headed to my living room and faced my sound system consisting of a control panel and surround speakers all over my unit. My finger hovered over the touch screen before rock music started playing.

I swayed my hips as I walked to the kitchen island to pour myself some scotch. After adding ice, I raised the glass to my mouth and drank, the taste waking me up.

What the fuck do I need coffee for?

I bobbed my head to the beat of the music as I made my way to the couch. Yawning, I flipped open my Macbook on the coffee table.

I groaned at the sight of emails needed to be replied to by lunchtime.

"Fuck me" I muttered.

"Gladly" A sexy voice purred from behind the screen. I looked up to see one of the girls standing before me—naked and glorious. My eyes trailed from her face down to her chest, to the dips and curves of her hips.

Acknowledging my gawking, she twirled slowly, giving me a view of her behind.

My sweats were begging to be off.

Why the fuck did I even put them on?

Slender hands with newly manicured nails made their way to my shoulders. Behind me was the other girl, her hands on my skin sending shivers to my spine.

And another particular bone.

The one in front of me shut my device as the one behind started kissing my shoulders.

I gestured for the one in front to come over with a flex of a finger. Now that I got a good look of them, I realized that they're twins.

The woman behind me started massaging my upper back and my shoulders as the other sat on my lap. Her hand trailed from my chest down to my crotch.

"Good morning to you too, love" I whispered as I tipped her chin up. She pecked me on the lips and drew my hand to her waist.

The two reached for each other and started making out. Isn't this incest? I watched. I watched them squirm and touch one another as they touched me too. When they stopped for air, I pulled the face of either one of them close to mine and clashed my lips against hers.

I could feel hands all over my chest and my abdomen with a few teasing brushes to skin right below it.

I groaned in pleasure just before the telephone on a side table beside me rang.

"Fuck" I muttered as I reached for it.

The girls didn't stop.

"Acklin" I said in a composed tone, giving nothing away of my previous actions.

"Good," A familiar female voice sighed, "you're up."

Oh hell no. Not yet, not yet, not yet, not yet, not—

"I want you to send me the files for the Parkman estate by 8AM and please reply to Mr. Gilbert's emails, he's been bugging me all night. Also, would you please settle on a date for the Hughman meeting and notify me so I can add it to my schedule? Ms. Sanchez called, she said she wants to see wood tint samples for the gazebo renovation, you can ask Kelly to fetch those, but she'd like you to go through it with her next week. Billy left me printed blueprints for the lakehouse, and the permit is with Thalia. Go and call—"

She said 'files' and I zoned out

"Woah, calm the fuck down." I half shouted, a fold between my eyebrows.

"Language, Mr. Acklin!"

The girl on my lap giggled before going back to kissing my neck and caressing my arm.

"I mean please calm down, Ms. Alvaro." I said in an exasperated tone.

"Didn't I tell you that I'd be flying out for a family reunion this afternoon?" I reminded her, rolling my eyes.

"Yes, you did. These tasks are achievable before your flight. I wouldn't assign them to you if I knew they aren't. If you remember clearly, which I doubt you do, I already mentioned all of this last night but you were already a quarter out of sobriety and kept yelling 'I got twins babies to ravage!'"

I cursed under my breath.

"What's that?"

"Nothing"

"Do I have to repeat everything or can you take it from here?"

I rolled my eyes once again. I'll just get my PA to do a fraction of the job.

"I know you're rolling your eyes."

I let out a heavy breath.

"Yeah, whatever. I can take it from here." I could imagine the uptight woman rolling her eyes too.

One of the girls giggled once again before planting a kiss on my lips. I'm certain Alvaro heard it.

"Look, Jared. Your personal life is none of my business, but if it concerns work, th—"

"Yes, I got it. My apologies, Ms. Alvaro."

"Just please send me the file before 8 and reply to the Gilbert emails. We can talk about other things once you get home." Her voice softened, "Enjoy your weekend, Mr. Acklin. Have a safe flight. Send my regards to Josie."

My shoulders relaxed, "Thank you Ms. Alvaro and sure, I'll greet Josie for you." And with that, I hung up.

My eyes met those of the twins. "Where were we?"

The airport is less crowded than I expected for being a Friday in summertime. Troy, my PA and Joe, my driver, carried my bags for me. We stood among businessmen in suits, a few families with their offsprings running around, some couples off to a trip, and individuals with either frowns or smiles on their faces.

The inside was cold due to the air conditioning trying hard to oppose the summer heat outside.

Troy did everything for me and I stood around waiting to get on board. Eventually, I had to leave the two since they won't be coming with. This is a personal trip and not a business trip. I can't really imagine the awkwardness Troy and Joe would feel if I brought them to a family reunion.

Troy, a bachelor in his early twenties who had been working for me for four months now. The kid has good looks and charm, but he is far from me in other aspects. For one, he's been sober since forever and regardless of the numerous young ladies throwing themselves at him whenever I drag him into bars for happy hour, he doesn't seem to mind.

His sexuality is questionable but I know better than to stick my nose in his business.

Joe is a man in his late forties with graying hair, a receding hairline, and clean face. He's as tall as me with almost the same build if it wasn't for his age downgrading his physique. He reminds me of Daniel Craig.

Bond. James Bond.

I made a mental note to persuade him to act that line out someday.

I nodded goodbye to the two men which Joe returned with a nod just as formal and Troy returned with a weak wave.

I sat in the waiting lounge with my leather Burberry briefcase I bought in Milan last summer.

What? I like to flex.

For the event I wore a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up and the first few buttons opened along with pleated gray trousers and brown leather shoes.

I made no effort to style my hair, leaving it casually slicked back by running my fingers through them once in a while.

Annoyingly, a few locks fall to my forehead every once in a while.

I sat waiting and waiting and waiting until I got too bored so I got up to buy myself a drink. I walked over to a small foodcourt and got myself a fruit shake, making sure to upgrade all upgradable aspects of my drink.

I settled down on a different seat from earlier and closed my eyes.

Then I heard it.

Heard it and felt it.

I popped one eye open to see a creature by my feet. A giggling, fluffy, and drooling creature.

By my feet.

A little gremlin.

It crawled and yanked at my pants, it's drool darkening a few spots of my gray trousers.

"You..." I hissed before taking a deep breath to calm myself down.

It smiled at me, baring it's four and a half teeth and erecting its excess fats on both sides of its face.

It drooled more. This time, on my shoe.

"That's Gucci!" I hissed earning only another laugh from the little monster.

It started to pull at my leg and the foot of the chair, trying to climb on top of me.

I looked around frantically for its adult supervisor and to my dismay found no one that seemed to be bothered.

I watched in horror as more drool fell and I moved my feet to avert the drops. I glanced at what it was looking at and realized that it was reaching for the cup in my hand.

I sighed in frustration.

"This. Is. Mine. You hear me?"

It giggled once again.

"Ake!"

Shake, dimwit.

It started jumping at the sight of the cup.

"No"

"Want!"

It jumped again.

"No"

It tugged at my pants, its small and oddly fat hands clinging onto the eight hundred dollar piece of fabric.

I groaned. "All right... Maybe just one sip."

I cautiously bent down and offered the straw to the little human. It's eyes gleamed and it laughed once again. It opened its small mouth and took the straw in it.

It sipped.

It grabbed onto the rest of my hand, its wet hands gripping my fingers.

I tried prying them off but they only tightened around my hands.

"Oh please no..." I watched in horror.

The flight attendant tugged on my belt, checking if it was secure. She pulled away and I met her gaze, something suggestive with my look.

I was awarded with the faint blush of her cheeks. She walked down the aisle to the next passenger with her hips swaying more than before.

I am seated in the first class section of a plane traveling to my hometown. An announcement was made that we were to wear the seatbelts during take off and a little after before we could comfortably enjoy its absence.

I am inside a first class unit with curtains dividing mine from the others. It had a space containing three plane windows on either side and I am seated on one of two lounge chairs. A television was in front of me with pre-downloaded movies and shows. I picked a random TV show, not really paying attention.

I looked out the window, watching the city vanish before clouds linear to the aircraft.

Thirty minutes into the flight, a stewardess offered me champagne which I accepted. I gave her a wink which made her flush before retreating to the other unit.

Having sex on a plane is something on my bucket list.

But a rational part of me argued that we'd get caught and it's probably correct, though that doesn't mean I can't flirt with the staff.

And so I did.

I wiped the lipstick mark on my neck with a wet wipe and ran my fingers through my hair, fixing my appearance in front of the mirror.

The two hour flight was over and I just got off the plane.

My phone buzzed in my pocket.

"Acklin"

"Hey! I got your message. I'm sending Howard to pick you up." Josie chirped through the phone, her voice dripping with joy.

"Oh, sure. Thanks." I tried to sound as grateful as I could.

"Text me again once you're close to the beach house" I could sense a smile on her lips, "Sure thing" I said to my beloved cousin.

"And Jared?" "Yeah?"

"I can't wait to see you.”

A smile crept to my lips, "Me too"

Howard is one of the three housekeepers that tend the beach house and the rest of the property. He used to be our grandfather's body guard, but when gramps died, he was sort of family already so we'd hate for him to leave. He didn't wanna leave either so we reassigned him to another job.

I spotted Howard beyond a glass divider. He had a heartwarming smile plastered on his face at the sight of me. A smile filled with nostalgia and fatherly affection.

"Nice to see you, Howard." I gave the man a hug. I was a foot or less taller than him with my 6'3" figure, but that did not ruin anything. The man, being in his fifties, looked far more stronger than his age.

We got to the car—one out of Kate's three cars. Kate is another cousin of mine—the only one who had settled down so far. She is a mother of a three year old little human whose name is Jewel.

I cursed under my breath at the thought of having a little human running around this weekend.

The summer heat enveloped my body once we got out of the airport. Me and Howard loaded my bags in the trunk before entering the car and starting to the beach house.

The thirty-minute drive was very relaxing and... genuine. Something very real and emotional. Something I rarely got in the city I moved to.

Me and Howard talked about the old times. We exchanged memories and relived them in our thoughts. We also updated news about one another. The old man had a smile during the trip and I had one as well.

A smile that I rarely use. A smile very different from the ones I use to greet clients, or get chicks at the club. A smile different from the ones I use in meetings or expos or pictures and hanging out with colleagues.

After the thirty-minute drive, the road became green and rocky. Cement was replaced with gravel under the tires. I admired the view of nature beyond the windows. We passed many parts of the town that brought back so many memories.

Tim's Arcade, Mrs. Gil's pharmacy, The 28's which is a diner I used to hang out at, and many, many more.

I saw old faces as well as new ones and my stomach twisted at the thought of time passing so quickly.

I remembered to text Josie and so I did.

Eventually, the car stopped in front of a mansion overlooking the beach—only a path, stones, and stairs in the way.

I admired the structure before me and appreciated my grandfather's work. The reason why I decided to become an engineer is because he was one.

The only man I know I can never beat.

The mansion was colossal with a white exterior and natural wood. It looks as if one third of it is cement, another is wood, and the last is of glass. It looked modern and sleek but looks earthy due to the wood and the coconut trees nearby.

This was my grandfather's last creation before he died.

And it was for himself.

After the mansion was built, he retired and died a year after.

I looked around—appreciating the structure and the land it's on. Peaceful, quiet, earthy... A picture of the perfect getaway.

"JARED YOU MOTHERFUCKER!"

I snapped my head to the source of foul language. I smiled, recognizing the brunette by the doorstep.

She ran to me and I opened my arms to her. She flung herself to me, knocking me back a few feet.

"Damn it, calm your ass, woman!"

"Never! Them cheeks are always clapping, duh."

I rolled my eyes and fought the blush. Ew.

"Wow..." She stepped back and looked me up and down, amusement in her features.

"I know right?" I grinned. I look good, I just know it!

I feel a compliment coming.

"You got fat... er." She blurted out, earning an flat look from me.

"You ain't so bad yourself, Jo." I commented after failing to think of a better comeback.

"Weak" She said before quickly turning to Howard to see him unloading the trunk.

"Let me help you with that." I offered the old man. I took two of the four bags and stepped into the house.

Oblivious to what this weekend was about to bring.
