Summary

The Chronicle of the Oxen Company of the Bulls on Parade, after the Fall. This Chronicle details the events surrounding the Bulls on Parade, Celes, and the Crow, after the Fall of Humanity. The dying world, whose broken reality is quickly decaying, is in complete and utter chaos. Most humans have no values, and kill without regard. Survival isn’t the priority; pleasure is. In a small part of the world, a ravenous clan of degenerates fights to control the wild land and establish a society of animals. The forces opposed to this clan, which calls itself Fortuna, fight for a variety of reasons. This is the story of the last few Humans left, and the final days of the dying world.

Halo: Just Before The Fall: Opening Act

Years of training, years of fighting, years of killing. Ironically, none of it mattered. He wasn’t prepared for this. The confusion was maddening.

He was running through the corridors, the sounds of gunshots banging through them. Up ahead, two men rounded a corner and saw him. They fired. He took cover briefly, then swiftly eliminated them with two shots. He continued running.
“Tell me what the fuck is happening! What the FUCK is happening!”
The gunshots continued. Occasionally the pressure valves hissed as grenades threatened to concuss everyone in this section of the ship.
“We need to get to him!” That was the reply from his teammate.
“Please, for the love of God, run this by me again. Someone!”
The pauses were only half because of the intense gunfire. Halo never panicked; this was a first.
“Onyx lost it. I don’t know. Nobody does. He’s gone bonkers, and he’s trying to end the war his way.”
The weight of that statement threatened to buckle Halo’s knees. Onyx was sad and philosophical but this was beyond his pay grade. This was madness.
As he got closer to the bridge, the resistance was heavier and the sounds were louder. Everyone was closing in.
“Fuck!” Mitski had been shot and killed. A loud bang sounded the death of Mitski’s partner, Bear.
They were gettting closer.
“G’s hit, G’s hit.” Hit but not dead, but dead enough anyway.
Halo rounded a corner, and down the hall, so did Serpent Tongue. “Great. Let’s get this done -“
There was a wet splat as he fell limp without warning. Bits of his skull skittered across the floor. Halo killed the man who had entered the hall behind Serpent Tongue. The bridge was down a wide corridor ahead.
The only other one left was Layman. She and Halo met at the bridge access corridor.
