Prologue

Niall’s POV

As Carina and I entered my apartment, she made her way to the balcony in my hallway, abandoning me there.

I walked to my kitchen with the thoughts of coffee in my mind.

I reached for the coffee beans from one of the cabinets and dropped them into the utensil. I liked to roast my coffee beans before I consumed them.

When I was done roasting the beans, I poured the required quantity of milk as I fetched it from the refrigerator.

Within minutes, our coffee was done.

I took out a pair of black and brown ceramic mugs and poured the coffee into them.

I held my mug in my left hand and Carina’s in my right one and made my way to my gallery.

Carina was busy zoning out with the view of the Dublin traffic ahead of her.

“Here’s your mug”, I said, snapping here back to reality.

“Thanks!“, she exclaimed brightly.

“Well, this coffee isn’t as wonderful as The Finch Cafe, but it’s way special than that”, I said while handing her the mug.

She gave me one of her blank expressions.

But what I said next put a gorgeous smile on her beautiful face.

“Well, The Finch Cafe makes coffee for everyone. This is special because it’s just for both of us. Coffee for two”.

We finished our coffee as we looked at the view in front of us, stealing glances of each other in between.

I set my coffee mug down once I was done with it and pulled her in my arms.

She wrapped her arms around my neck as I pulled her closer.

“This moment right now feels so perfect. With you here, in my arms. I don’t know what I’d do without you”, I said as I looked her in the eyes.

She just smiled as she pecked my lips.

“I’m always going to be here”, he whispered.

“Good, because I would never be the same without you ever again”, I said as I tightened my grip around her waist.

“Why?“, she questioned as she tilted her head to the side.

“Because, I’m half a heart without you”.
