Nova:

I sat in the back of Mrs. Parker's room when he came. Mrs. Parker loved to change seats often so I knew I wouldn't be in that spot forever. However when I first met Casey Owens, who got to sit right next to me, I never wanted to move.

Casey Owens is the new kid in town, my new neighbor, and he is the center of attention. Rumors have been going around about his life before he came to Cavetown. That he had killed someone, he was a player, he is a witch, he is in a gang, and some other wacky ones. I'd like to say I don't believe them, however it is kinda hard not to when everyone is talking about them.

On his first day of school he got put next to me in 2nd period, Mrs. Parker's math class. I wasn't too exited at first because Casey Owens was already a girl magnet. However once I got to know him he is actually really nice and not a fuck boy.

That evening me and my mom and dad brought them over a pan of brownies (Casey's favorite). When we walked over we saw Casey shooting hoops. "Hey Nova!" Casey exclaimed. He ran up to us, "Are those brownies?" he said looking at the dish covered with tin foil. "Yeah, I made them myself with the recipe that wins the baking contest every year" I said with a smile. After that we went inside his house, and may I add it was a lovely home. My parents talked with Casey's while we played basketball outside. By 9pm me and Casey were exhausted and went to get a drink of water. I found my parents still talking to his. But when they saw me they said it was time to go. On the way back they talked about how great his parents where and how we should hangout more.

That night when I looked out my window after getting ready for bed I saw someone in all black run across the street into the woods.
