Summary

Drug dealing, fear, hatred, revenge, the price we pay. Dependency brings favours, and kids to work for free Stolen cars, knocked off goods, And neighbours who want to be free. Knife attacks, just for wads of cash, to feed their growing need. Dreams long lost, parents who pay the cost Of loved ones, they pray will be set free. While all along, you bribe the cops, who turn up But then set you free. No evidence my lord The locals were wrong, there were no drugs there you see. A smile on your face, while the snitch finds his place. Burned to the ground, and his wife with glass Smashed into her face, and the locals are still not free.

Chapter 1

Chapter One.

I see your gold, and those flashy rings, with that chain around your neck

Fancy cars, labelled cloths, and wads of cash you have for those.

Who hide the darkness within?

Shady deals, knocked off goods and fake dvd’s,

Drugs in your kitchen, that you give to the kids for free.

Not caring, yet knowing the pain, that it will cause.

Dependency brings favours, and kids to work for free

Stolen cars, knocked off goods,

And neighbours who want to be free.

Knife attacks, just for wads of cash, to feed their growing need.

Dreams long lost, parents who pay the cost

Of loved ones, they pray will be set free.

While all along, you bribe the cops, who turn up

But then set you free. No evidence my lord

The locals were wrong, there were no drugs there you see.

A smile on your face, while the snitch finds his place.

Burned to the ground, and his wife with glass

Smashed into her face, and the locals are still not free.

Our kids are slowly dieing, while you just keep smiling

Knowing that you will always be set free.

What’s wrong my friend, I’ve done nothing wrong,

I never ask them to come to me.

Why should I care, its not me who’s suffering?

It’s you whose complaining, a pain in my neck you see.

A knife will find you soon, or a bullet may be,

Just smile my friend, as the blood shall flows.

And just remember, that it came from me.

Neenee73: The author managed to weave instant tension and mystery from the get go. It was a balancing act that kept me guessing and made everyone look like they could be a villain which is on par with the great writers of mystery like Agatha and Doyle. I was jumping at every creak. If you like tension in ever...
