Chapter One - The Awakening Part 1

Rain hammering down on the windscreen blurring the view of the road. A bright light was all I saw before it all went black. I heard voices, they were so close but yet so far, repeatedly trying to open my tired eyes. My body felt weak, like I was hit by a truck, where am I? That's when it dawned on me, Who? Who am I? I tried searching through my memories, only to find... nothing.

I decided to focus on the voices, though it felt like I was underwater I managed to hear voices

"when... think... Jason... wake up?"

It sounded feminine but I wasn't sure.

"not sure ma'am from the... of it... wake... day now"

A man responded, are they talking about me? Am I Jason? I take a deep breath before fluttering my eyes open quietly groaning at the bright lights. I tilt my head slightly to face three people, one looked like a doctor, so I assume that I'm in a hospital, the reason I have no idea.

The second person, was a woman with chestnut brown hair and a worried expression on her face, the last was a boy with the same chestnut hair as the woman, sitting down on a chair legs crossed on his phone, like he didn't want to be here in the first place. The second groan caught their attention, the woman instantly ran to me, engulfing me into a hug, I groaned again my muscles rejecting the movement.

I started coughing and the doctor immediately got me water witch I chugged down, once I calmed down the lady looked at me.

“How are you my baby?"

she said happily, I tilted my head slightly, who was this woman, was she my mum?

"I'm doing okay thank you"

I replied in a soft and polite, this made the women's eyes widen, I guess I'm not usually polite voice.

"Jason, do you know who I am?"

I hear the pain in her voice but answered truthfully nodding my head slightly

"I am sorry ma'am but I don't know who you are, but from the information I know I would assume you are most likely my mother or at least there is an 96% chance you are."

As soon as I finished my sentence they were all gaping fish, even the boy in the corner looked up from his phone his eyes wide

"so you don't know who I am?"

the boy said. I look at him blinking a bit before saying

“You look like this woman here so if she indeed is my mother then that means you are my brother"

I replied tilting my head again and raising my eyebrows, isn't it obvious?

There was a minute of silence before I said

“Is anyone going to tell me who I am pacifically or if I'm right about my calculations?"

The doctor was the person to recover first

"Your name is Jason Wiles adoptive son of Mandy jones, 16 years old and you go to Down Creak High-school and you have been in a-coma for 6 months. Your body is malnourished since you've been using a feeding tube, so you will have to get back in to eating more regally to gain your weight back and your brothers name is Jake."

I smile slightly at them

“Well then mother, Josh, its very nice to meet you."

bushbaby: I love the slightly different spin on the were-world and I love love love reading Jaspers story splashed in-between. Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel
