It takes a step forward and tears begin to rim my eyes. "Please..." I beg my voice a mere whisper. The Lycan stalks closer to me, a low growl drowning the air around us. My chest constricted, making it hard to catch a breath. I lean farther and farther back until it's right over me, the vibration in the wolf's growls resonating through my chest, igniting something inside me like no other raising the hairs in my arms all at once. I let out a shaky breath as a shiver shreds through me and watch as its mouth inches closer. While heading back to the Pack, Ara can't help but feel like she's being watched. Curious to catch her watcher, she turns and locks with an unfamiliar pair of red eyes. Fear fills her veins as she slowly steps backward, before taking off into a run.
