Why Don't We Stay

I was in 3rd period science working on a lab about natural light when I was called down to the office. "Brooke Collins please come to the office you are leaving."I quietly got up and started putting my stuff in my bag "Bye Brookie Cookie" my best friend Robin whispered to me. "Bye Birdie" I replied hardly audible trying not to draw more attention to my self. I walked out eyes trailing my path. I hate when people stare at me. Like don't you have more important things to do? Anyways, I got to the office and saw my Aunt Karen waiting. " Hey Aunite Karen" I said smiling but confused. "Hi Hun." We walked to the car. " we.both got in. "Why are you picking me up so early?" I questioned. "Well um..." She stuttered fumbling with her seatbelt trying to buckle up. The way she was acting made me feel uneasy," Is everything alright?" I tried to hide the panic in my voice. She took a deep breath, " Yes Hun. Eveverything is perfectly fine you just will be staying with me for a bit." Although she seemed much more calm I didn't feel any better," Wait why? How will I get to school!? What about mom and dad!?!?!" I started rambling. "Relax Brookie you will be fine. Think of it as a mini vacation." She seemed kind of annoyed so I just mumbled an "ok." And leaned my head up against the car window.I sat there in my thought just wondering what the hack is going on. Nothing like this has ever happened before. We drove in silence until my aunt turned on the radio. You know that feeling when a song you never have even heard before becomes your favorite song and and you feel like you know all the words? I felt like I connected with each song it was weird but awesome at the same time. We got to her house in Huntley, Illinios about an hour and a half later jamming to Why Don't We the whole time. " home sweet home." My aunt said relieved. We both got out stretched and headed in. " I'm going to start dinner my aunt said heading towards the kitchen, "Jacob is upstairs in his room or you can just watch T.V in the living room or guest bedroom." "Ok"I said then headed upstairs. I knocked on my cousin's door. Jacob is the best cousin anyone could ever ask for. We are like best friends even though he is two years younger than me. He didn't answer so I walked in and noticed him playing fortnite with his head set on. I tapped his shoulder and he paused the game and turned around. "Brooke?!" He yelled and turned around to give me a hug. "The one and only." I said. "Hey can we hangout later I'm in the middle of a game. "Ya sure" I sighed "Sorry!" He yelled back at me as I walked out. I was tired anyways so I'm fine. I went to the guest bedroom and slipped under the covers. I slowly drifted asleep, letting myself forget everything that happened.
