(Chapter 1) Hope
August 20, 2018
Moving to a new school isn't the best. It's my first day here as a sophomore and I recall having a few friends from middle school that are here in this school. I hope to have them in my classes.
I walk in this two floored school. I look around for the office because they didn't have my schedule. They told me to wait in the library so I walked across this area called the student union. The school is very small. It only has four hallways extending from the main body. The second floor is a completely different school that we arent allowed to go in.
I walk in and notice that the library was quite small. I find a seat and wait.
Time flew. I was on my phone quite bored. My friend texted saying if I got my schedule even though I didn't. I waited for about three hours before the principal came up to me.
She look at me with these snake eyes that freeze me to stone. She was quite short with a hair bun. She thought I was a freshmen because she had never seen me. I clearly told her I was a sophomore and said I was interested in this school. She wasn't very sure if I was confident of walking the halls of this school since it is an academy. Academies usually expect the best performance and behavior. However she thought I was some ratchet dude.
She then leaves and I wait for about another hour. My teacher from my original Highschool sends me an email asking how have I been. I chatted with him for about some minutes before I got my schedule.
Fourth period was occurring and my room was in B hall. I walked casually and nervously. I thought I was lost but then I found the room.
I entered and there was a sub. Although I heard someone scream my name as if they were surprised. The entire room went silent. My heart rate started to go insane. My palms were sweating and everyone was staring at me. It was Santiago from my middle school. Sure we weren't friends, but he remembers me at least. I then find some other friends from before and sit with them.
They are surprised to see me as well. It was Jamie and Melanie. My orchestra friends whom, ofcourse, I was better than them.
We talk as I look around the room to see if I recognize anyone else but nope it was just them.
The period ends and they walk me to lunch where I got to see the rest of my friends and new ones as well.
I sit down and they all notice me. Each one with a different reaction. Although one of them seemed uninterested. They were all asking how was the other school and how has it been so far. They did ask several questions and I was a hit shy to finally be with them after quite some time.
Lunch ended and it was time to go next class.
The day went fast and it was time to go home. It was nice to see that my friends would see me again. I like to be with them as we fly through time.
