Promise Kept

Edward and Al were walking back to that old house that held their only family. Since Al got his body back and Edward his arm back they hadn't seen Winry since Pinako died. Edward had promised Winry the year he told her he loved her (a year before Pinako died) he would come back and stay forever.

With Winry

Flash back

"Winry" Ed said, "Yes, what is it?"

"Well…. Uh…I" he stuttered, "Come on, what is it?" she said

"I…I…I love you" he whispered looking anywhere but her, a blush spreading across his face.

She blushed and couldn't speak; when she regained her voice she answered, "I love you to" "you do!" he asked shocked at her answer

"Yeah I do," she announced smiling, at this Ed cupped her chin and kissed her. When they broke apart he said "Winry, when I get Al's body back I'll come back and stay with you forever" He smiled giving her a big grin.

She just replied, "You promise" He kissed her again and said "I promise"

End Flash back

Every day she thought about that day, always thinking about him coming back. Her loneliness never consuming her because she knows that Ed never breaks a promise.

With Ed and Al

" Ready brother? "Al asked but it was too late Ed had run the rest of the way to the old house and was waiting for him at the door, tapping his foot against the porch, knocking immediately as Al makes it onto the porch.

They hear footsteps from inside then the door swings open to reveal a beautiful blonde young woman.

Winry's P.O.V.

" ED!" Winry cries as she launches herself at him in a tight hug, which a gladly returns.

"Win, do recognize him?" Ed asks pointing to Al, who stands grinning, soon being tackled as well.

"Al OH MY GOSH…you got your body back!" Winry yells while hugging Al, who grins.

"When did this happen?" Winry asks releasing Al, a brilliant smile never leaving her face.

"About a week ago" Ed answers grinning widely at Winry then at Al.

"Come inside and we can catch up and talk about how you got your bodies back," Winry responds quickly opening the door allowing the brothers to walk inside side by side, causing a even brighter smile to appear on Winry's face.

2hours later

"Ed" Winry asks after Al had gone upstairs to rest, leaving her and Ed alone in the living room.

"What is it Win?" Ed questions in a smooth voice. "You kept your promise,"

"I know…its one thing to check off of things to do"

"Really…what else do you have to do" Winry questions confusion evident in her voice and on her face.

"This" he says leaning down and kissing her.
