Character Development
"I like where this story is heading but I feel as if character development could be used. Luis and Johnny are really confusing and I think more of them needs to be said. I like Larry but he seems angry and the audience deserves to know the root behind all this. The chemistry between Larry and Kai is outstanding. You'd think he'd know him longer than Luis honestly. I also want to understand Wei more and have more appearances from the grandfather. I love the flashbacks that take place in the beginning of multiple chapters and I hope that continues. The story is great and I love how scenes do not drag on with unrealistic monologues. If this book becomes a series I would definitely be interesting in buying copies of these!"
Great read
"Blaxpride had made an excellent start of how the story opened for our young hero. Pretty detail about the origin of how Larry became who he is with a new mature personality that grows within him once he came to the Bay Area. The story gave us images of how the action took place in the book. In the very end, the cliffhanger gives us what to expect in the next chapter of our beloved hero. I can't wait to read more and understand our hero and where the story will lead us off with."
Is this a series?
"I love how the writer shows that the main protagonist has imperfections. Though Larry came off as angry and filled with hate, it became quite easier to understand if you read the entire thing. I am also intrigued with the subtle hints throughout the book and talks about sensitive topics such as drug addiction and eating disorders but its toned down which makes it easier for readers to follow along. The book left on cliffhanger that may leave some people confused but I am excited to read more."
