I love Florida, but hate the people in it. So at least I won't have any friends to miss cause everyone is a douchebag. Including me. Kiana Edell is a lonely thirteen, almost fourteen year old. She lives in Florida, doesn't have many friends, and isn't well liked by lots of people. But when she finds out her family is moving to Maine to take care of her grandpa, she is furious. It will mean no relaxing by the pool, going to the beach, or the weekly game of kickball at the park. For her it is the way her parents are about to ruin her life. What she doesn't see is a new chance to meet new people and make friends for once. Maybe in time though it will turn out better than Kiana would have ever thought… Along the way she learns a lot of things, which she lists during the story.
