โHow bored.โ Belinda spoke in a calm and eerie tone. Her fleets unable to break the wall that surround the kingdom. โI thought the Kingdom of Rusea had fallen to the ground already. And yet, it still stand.โ
Curious she is, but was aware that one of her general had came. A shadow demon general.
โMy Mistress,โ her general reported. โThe Rusea armies havenโt fallen.โ
โI can see that for myself, Shades.โ Belinda hissed. โBut you didnโt explain why?โ
โThe Princess of Rusea make things difficult,โ he explained, but report something else. โBut that isnโt why I here.โ
โThen, what is it?!" She growled, demanded he answered and explained his action.
โOne of our scouts saw a ranger with an unusual companion.โ He informed her. โWe believe it might be him.โ
โAre they sure?!โ Belinda demanded. โCause, if it is him, we have a problem!!!โ
โIโll send the Crow Demons,โ said the general unease. He vanishes, leaving Belinda alone in her thoughts.
โIt better not be him,โ Belinda said to herself. โIf it is him, the Kingdom of Rusea will defeated me and all my plans of conquered the entire kingdom will be lost.โ
Full with raged and determined, Belinda scream as she throws a fierce fireball. โHe will not reach the kingdom. Not when Iโm around.โ
Belinda walk away from her balcony. And, magical slam the door as she went inside.
At Ruseaโs Wood, a small army set camp. Leading them is a young maiden with scarlet hair and sapphire eyes. Tied in a loose braid with neck-long bangs, with a small brown leather band around her forehead. Dress in a black undershirt with a long sleeves, dark green vest and matches gloves. With midnight green trouser and brown knee-high boots, and a brown leather belt that attach itself with a sword.
โPrincess Darlene!โ one of the soldier call her.
โSomething a matter?โ Darlene asked, without turning.
โOne of our scout spot some Crow Demon at the east,โ he informed the princess. โBy the look of things, we expect theyโre searches.โ
โSearches? For what?โ Darlene got curious. And, wondered what they searching? Is it important?
โI donโt know, princess.โ the soldier replied. โBut whatever it is, it must be important.โ
โI agree.โ She acknowledges. โSaddle up the horses. Weโre see what the Serpent Witch wants from there.โ
Darlene walk away before she gives them an order.

โLooks like the coast is clear, Skull.โ he said to his companion. โShould we move now?โ
His companion is a unique person. He dresses in an eggplant-colored robe with pitch-black shirt and trouser. Brown boots and shadow-colored gloves. But his face, hiding beneath his hood, is a skull. And, his neck is a necklace. Crafted into two snakes as they tied their tails into one with a heart-shaped obsidian stone and wings at each side.
โPatience, Kilic.โ Remind his companion, making sure thereโs nothing following them. โWe need to be careful. We donโt know if Belinda or her goons had spotting us yet?โ
Kilic understand why his companion is concerns. He and his companion had a mission to completed. And, they wonโt let Belinda or her soldiers to stop them from succeeding.
โSo, how much farther, are we?โ Kilic wondered. โTo the castle, I mean.โ
โStill far.โ Skull replied, continue to search. โBut it wonโt matter. We need to find-โ
A monstrous screech got their attention, there they search the sky. Which, frighten Kilic. โWhat was that?โ
โCrow Demons.โ Skull, immediately, recognized the sound. โWhich, means, Belinda knew they here?!โ
Shocked they became, Skull and Kilic quickly run. Unaware that their present now got the Crow Demonโs attention as they spotted them. With great speed, the Crow Demons flew down as theyโre ready to snatch them. Got a glimpse of what happen, Skull immediately, shove his companion aside. But got snatches, instead.
โSKULL!!!โ he shouted, realizing what just happen. โHang on.โ
Skull was in the midair, but still heard his companion. โEasy for you to say.โ
Darlene and her army marches, one of her soldier, saw something in the air.
โPrincess,โ the soldier cried. โUp in the sky.โ
The princess looks. โWhatโs that?โ
โIt appears to be a creature,โ the soldier replied. โAnd, itโs holding something?โ
Darlene hum. โIf so, why did it a human?โ
โDonโt know, miss.โ He answered, wonderingly. โWhatโs your order?โ
โShoot it.โ Darlene implied. โWe canโt let it capture our citizens.โ
โAt once, my lady.โ The soldier bowed. โYou heard the princess said, shoot it.โ
The soldiers carry their duties, Darleneโs mind wanders. Whatโs the Serpent Witch want? Why sends her monster? Is there a reason?
โIโll get my answer,โ Darlene whispered, watches her soldiers shoot the beast. โIโm sure someone will explain after weโre rescued the citizen.โ
In thin air, hanging by the Crow Demonโs talons, Skull wonders if Kilic is planning to save him. If so, how? Thatโs the question he shouldnโt ask.
An arrow appear, taking aim to them. Surprise, they are. Skull regret for that question. โMe and my big mouth.โ
At first, he thought it Kilic but numerous arrows appear as it fire towards him and the Crow Demon.
โOkay, not Kilic.โ Curious who shooting at them, until he realizes something. โMust be Rusea army.โ
The Crow Demon still have Skull in its talons. Unaware that its grip is loose as Skullโs clothes is begun to tear. However, its captive notices.
โNot good.โ Skull sound frighten than his worries. โIf one of those arrows hit-โ
Just as Skull predict, an arrow strike and the Crow Demon let go of its captive. As it screeches in pain, Skull yelled; โItโs the end for mmmeeeee!!!โ
Kilic run. Hopes to save his companion from Belinda, the Serpent Witch. But once a scream caught heโs attention, he looks up and saw Skull fallen.
โOh, boy.โ Kilic was stunned. โHold on, Skull! Iโm coming!โ
Kilic begun to run, quicker than before. Unaware, that Princess Darlene and her army were heading where Skull has landed. Hopefully, somewhere safe and unharmed.
Skull was lucky. Not only heโs safe or in clutches of Belindaโs beasts, but fell into a river. Wet, but safe and unseen by everyone.
โI better find Kilic.โ He whispered, getting himself out of the water. โBefore anyone can find me. Or worst, one Belindaโs beasts.โ
Just as Skull was about to leave, something caught his attention and turn. He wishes he hadnโt. Cause now, he saw some armed soldiers and a scarlet woman in the front of the line. Attractive she is, but fearsome. Skull was grateful his hood remains on his head before he fell and out of the water.
โStated your business, traveler!โ The scarlet one demanded, pointing her sword to him.
โSimple a traveler whoโs passing and not drawing too much attention.โ He replied, lowering his hooded by his hand as he prevents anyone from seeing his face. โAnd, it seems I didnโt do a good job.โ
โI can see that for myself.โ She seems convince but in her eyes she is not. โAnd yet, your story isnโt promising. So I ask you once more; Stated your business?!โ
โIโm telling the truth.โ Skull raised both his hands, persuade her without any suspects. But fate has other plans. โThat giant bird just grab me for no-โ
โSKULL!!!" He froze. After hearing and recognizing his companionโs voice, Skull slowly turn. There he instinct proves it. Kilic appears, unaware of his surrounds as he run.
โKilic,โ he moaned, quietly. โPlease, look before saying.โ
โThank goodness,โ Kilic was relieved. โA minute ago, I was worried that one of Belindaโs creature has already delivered you to her by now.โ
โYou idiot.โ he muttered, fully aware that his companion listened. And, wondered what Skull meant and why he raises his hands. Until, he looks.
โOh boy,โ Kilic groaned, seeing the sight of the armies at front. โWeโre in trouble, arenโt we?โ
โWhat do you think?โ Skull sneered.
Kilic wailed, knowing his answers. This is not what they expected.
