Shy
Jungkook entered the Bighit building with his eyes down. He said a quick hello to the receptionist and hastily made his way to the elevator, letting out a sigh of relief once he was alone.
You'd think since he was training to become an idol he would be less shy, but that was far from the case. Jungkook was what you would call, shy. Believe me Jungkook wants to make friends, I mean who doesn't, but being awkward, introverted, and having low self esteem doesn't exactly make that easy.
Jungkook can feel anxiety building in his chest. He hopes he had the driver bring him over early enough so he wouldn't have to see another trainee as they leave from their vocal lesson. Especially a certain trainee that he thinks is so gorgeous he may be gay, or maybe bisexual, don't be mad, he's still trying to figure it out. All Jungkook knows is that this certain trainee is the man of his dreams and knowing that, he has all the more reason to avoid him. Someone like that who exudes that much confidence scares Jungkook and he feels like he would pee himself if he said one word to him.
Jungkook watches as the elevator reaches the 6th floor where many of the studios and music rooms are located. He takes a deep breath as he watches the doors slide open to reveal a wall. "Thank god," He mumbles under his breath as he starts walking to his voice lesson, opting to take the long way to avoid any human interaction. "Hey!", Jungkook stills for a few seconds and continues walking pretending he didn't hear the deep voice calling him. "Wait up! You know your going the wrong way right?" The voice sounds like it's getting close, knowing he can no longer ignore the voice he turns around keeping his eyes cast down to the floor. "Hey ,you know it's quicker to go that way? Oh! I know you." Jungkook is now facing towards the other trainee. The same trainee he hoped he wouldn't run into, Kim Taehyung, the beautiful, deep voiced, god. The same Kim Taehyung that Jungkook ran from when he was walking to the showers, because he was so intimidated by how beautiful he was.
"You ran away from me before, why was that? Am I scary? I promise I don't bite." Taehyung continued to bombard the boy with questions and Jungkook wanted to run again, that or cry. "Um... hello? Earth to shower boy?" How humiliating he doesn't even know his name. "What's your name? I feel kind of bad just calling you shower boy. Also why won't you look at me ,does my breath smell?" Taehyung breaths into his hand and shrugs his shoulders, after concluding his breath doesn't smell. Jungkook looks up slightly and feels Taehyung's fingers under his chin as they tickle him. "See no use in hiding such a cute face, but a smile would be even better~." Taehyung smiles once he sees the boy smile shyly in return. Bunny teeth peeking out as he does. "Awww see~, adorable!" Taehyung cooed.
Taehyung and Jungkook walked to the music room together. They were getting to know each other, well Taehyung was talking about himself and Jungkook was listening . Taehyung talked about his life back home and random facts about himself as well. "I like all dogs, but I've always wanted a little one that I could carry around in a little bag. Oh, we're here." Taehyung chuckled lightly. Jungkook melted a little at the sound ,in his mind, he would never visibly melt in front of someone, that's dumb. "Yeah...thanks for walking with me. Do you maybe wanna hang out after my lesson?" Jungkook nibbled on his bottom lip nervously as he waited for his answer. "Yeah, of course! I've been trying to talk to you for a while, but every time I try you always walk away." Taehyung admitted rubbing the back of his neck. "I thought maybe you didn't like me, but I'm glad to know that I was wrong." Taehyung laughed lightly and Jungkook joined in a blush creeping on his face from Taehyung's words. "It isn't that I don't like you,far from it actually. I'm just shy and your so laid back and friendly and handsome- I mean!" Jungkook began to trip over his words after realizing what he said. "Wait I just mean your so cool that's all! Yeah! I was afraid to talk to you cause I'm so shy and your so cool that's all." Jungkook looked down in embarrassment and Taehyung just laughed fondly.
"Aww I know what you mean." Taehyung cooed at the younger as he continued to look down, blush still visible on his cheeks. "Here give me your phone." Jungkook complied and watched as Taehyung entered a new contact on his phone. "Text me when you lesson is over, we can go out for dinner or something. See ya later Kookie." Taehyung gave him a large boxy smile and walked back to the elevator.
"Kookie..." , Jungkook repeated the nickname liking the way it sounded and smiled brightly at the thought. He entered the music room still grinning ear-to-ear. "Looks like someone's happy. You get a date kid?" His teacher asked eyeing the unusually happy trainee. "No... just made a new friend, that's all."
