Bella was a beautiful young Chicana only daughter of an immigrant single mother .. susana moved to The ghettos of San Diego California when she was still pregnant with Bella leaving her family and abusive husband behind all she wanted what was best for her daughter she worked her ass off to give her the education she deserved but sometimes it just doesn't work out Bella had to learn that hard way....

Susana: Bella!!! Wake up! Time for school!

Bella walked into the kitchen

They lived in the barrio not to far from the beach yea it was ghetto and full of gangs and drugs but it was home to Bella

Bella: mourning mom

Susana: here eat breakfast and start your walk I have to go to work I'm covering a shift for a friend tonight so I won't be back till late ok?

Bella: like always?

Susana: mija we need this money now come get going

Bella: ok is Jesus coming over at all?

Susana: not today and I don't understand why you don't like him?

Jesus would molest her at night while her mother slept in the other room .....

Bella: just bad vibes mom but I'll get going see ya

Bella took the last bite of her food and grabbed her stuff and started her journey to school it was a long walk and a bus ride to get there .. as she walked down the street she saw a boy from her class he met up with her .. he was part of the neighbor hood gang CSD 13 he was medium height pelon light skinned not many tattoos his name was Anthony but his homies called him Casper

Casper: hey beautiful how you doing?

Bella: same old like always.. going to school today?

Casper: thats good and naw fuck that place stay here with me let's kick it a lil or something

Bella: naw I can't ditch my mom would freak out ..well I gotta catch the bus I'll see you later I guess

Casper: whatever you say Bella but hey

Bella turned around as she walked away

Casper: lets kick or something forreals after school

Bella: umm sure I guess wait for me by my apartment ok

Casper: ok beautiful see ya then

Bella got on the bus Casper walked away smiling .. he always had a thing for her but she always kept to herself

As the day continued it was Friday so homework was turned in and her tests where done she was the smartest in her class always had everything finished in time she was bullied at times so she really had no friends but she didn't care ... on her way home she saw Casper walking from far away his eyes where blood shot red he was high

Casper: hey so we kicking it?

Bella: yea I guess let me change I'll meet you on the steps?

Casper: Simon

She walked into her apartment the door was unlocked which seemed weird but she brushed it off she walked into her room Jesus was sitting on her bed which made her scream

Bella: get out ..

Jesus: oo mija I won't disappear just like that

He got up and closer to her she started to scream as loud as she could until he covered her mouth she started to cry until she heard the door slam in it was Casper

Casper: get off of her! What the fuck!

Jesus: is this your lil boyfriend

Casper: Don't answer him call the cops

Jesus: she wouldn't dare I'll kill her mother

Bella: just go please I won't say anything (crying )

Jesus fixed his pants and walked out the door slamming it making Bella jump

Casper sat down next to her and hugged her tight

Casper: are you ok?

Bella's lip was bleeding from where she bit it

Bella: I'll be ok ..

Casper: Can I ask you a question.. you don't have to answer me or anything

Bella looked at him

Bella: sure

Casper: how long has this been happening?

Bella: since I was 10

She started to cry again he sat there not knowing what to say he just hugged her and gave her a shoulder to cry on

Casper: have you told your mom?

Bella: no and I'm not..

She got up and fixed her room

Casper: you have to tell her it's been long enough

Bella: you didn't hear him! He'll kill her ! I only have her

Casper: I promise he won't I'll protect you ok I'll stay here until she comes home and you can explain to her everything

Bella: I can't she loves him

Casper: I'll tell her then you chose

Bella: fine

Casper: I'll be right back ok before my mom starts trippin on me

Bella stopped him before he made it to the door and hugged him

Bella: thanks but please don't tell anybody about this

She was scared

Casper: don't worry about it ok and I won't but you need to tell your mom 5 years is long enough

Bella: ok I will but can you stay over she doesn't get home till late and i don't wanna be by myself

Casper: yea I'll be right back don't answer the door to anybody I'll yell for you ok

Bella: ok

He left she went into her room and changed she wore her shorts and her favorite shirt she always wore at home .. she cleaned her face and put her up she was nervous to have boy over but Casper was her only friend and the only person she could trust she cleaned the apartment until she heard a knock and somebody say her name she looked threw the blinds

Bella: hey

Casper: damm you didn't have to get pretty for me

Bella looked at him with a smirk

Bella: don't get excited haha

Casper: there's that smile here my mom sent over a plate for you to eat

Bella: she's cool with you kicking it?

Casper: yea she has all my lil brothers and sisters to watch over so she doesn't care

Bella: that's cool I guess

They watched tv and chilled until Bella heard her mom unlock the door

Bella: shit...

Casper: it'll be alright don't worry I'm here...
