Chapter 1
Sasha Grey. Absolute normal girl... well, except for the fact that she was dating the one-of-a-kind model, Logan Berkley, but what kind of power is that? Definitely not a superpower or anything helpful. Or that's what you would think.
Sasha stormed through the class, all eyes on her.
"Are you okay?" Bethany Rover, Sasha's best friend, asked, a stern look plastered on her face.
"Does it look like I'm okay? No. No, I am not." Sasha murmured, her words sounding like lightning dancing across a valley.
Bethany glanced at her watch before looking back towards Sasha.
"Yeah? Well, are you going to sit there and complain, or spill the bag of beans? Like, seriously girl, you need to make up your mind," Bethany groaned.
A slight smile tinkled onto Sasha's face.
"Fine. You win, I'll spill." She rolled her bright blue eyes.
She told Bethany of the date she'd planned with Logan, on the beach sunset. She painted the image of the swirling colors in Bethany's head. She described the scent wafting through the air, of the hot chips that she was going to share with him.
"And then," Sasha continued. "He bailed on me."
Anger grew inside of Sasha's chest as she repeated the words that Logan had spoken.
"I have a new agency now, which means more work," She repeated in Logan's deep tone.
Bethany let out a laugh.
"What?" Sasha asked, confused and a little bit insecure.
"By the way you were acting, it seemed like Logan had broken up with you or something." Bethany giggled. "But in reality, he had just rejected your date."
