Chapter 1
“I’m not the bad guy...”
“Stop it!”
“Leave us alone!”
“You’re taking things too far!”
“So then, why do people make it seem like I am?”
“Hey, cut it out!”
“What the hell are you doing?!’’
“They did nothing to deserve this!”
“I did nothing wrong...”
“Get out of my way!”
“Or, at least,”
“Don’t you dare look at me like that!”
“That’s what I had convinced myself.”
“How about you take a look at yourself!”
“Look at what you’ve become!”
“Shut up...”
“You’re obsessed”
“A megalomaniac!”
“You don’t care about anything besides yourself!”
“Shut up.”
“Hypocrite!”
“Liar!”
“Tyrant!”
“You don’t deserve anything you’re given, you spoiled brat!”
“SHUT THE HELL UP!”
“Monster.”
“—!!!”
“I hate you.”
“...”

“Get out of my head...” A young 6-year old little girl whimpered, her head pressed against a cold steel surface. A table. Small pictures of children were scattered around her, each shot holding a kid that was shown to be gravely injured. Abruptly, the whining female brought her head up with great speed. The clear liquid that streamed from the corner of her [color] orbs were no doubt tears. An expression of anger was evident on her face, seeing how she scrunched up her nose and furrowed her slick eyebrows. “GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HEAD!” The young girl yelled, her voice echoing through the small gray room.
Across the room was a man dressed in a velvet red, his hair mocking a patch of fresh grass and his eyes about as hard as a gargoyle stare. There was no need for words, his expression told the 6-year old all. “LET ME GO! I WANT OUT!” She yelled, slamming her cuffed hands against the hard table, hoping to break them off. It was dead silent, and that same silence was driving her off edge. She wanted answers, that and so much more.
“Have you finally come to realize your mistakes now?” The man finally spoke up, catching her attention. With eyes of pure rage, the girl diverted her attention from the pictures sprawled on the table, only to meet his cold hard glare. Slowly, she opened her mouth to answer his query; But,
“Fuck you.”
This unkept anger that she had bottled up came erupting once more, with those memories that she was forced to recollect on being the drive of it. “IDIOT! TRASH COP! I HATE YOU! I HATE ALL OF YOU!” She began her onslaught of harsh and no-doubt plain disrespectful words. Not like it affected the cop in any way. “GO KILL YOURSELF! DIE IN A HOLE! JUMP OFF A CLIFF! DROWN!” With these words in mind, the man sighed, nearing you.
“DONT COME NEAR ME YOU PEDOPHILE! RAPIST! UGLY! OLD GEE—” A palm was placed upon the top of your short, curled hair. You felt a handful of it get tugged at. Before you knew it, your face had hit the table once more, your skin feeling the cold metal texture. “Doll, you have much to come to terms with.” The man said, lifting your face up to reveal blood trickling from your nose.
With one eye closed, you spat in his face, figuring it to be the only way for you to get back at his previous assault. A somewhat satisfied smirk crossed your face. “You must realize that your actions have consequences!” The man swiftly slapped his hand against your left cheek, then using that same hand to wipe away the spot of saliva from his own cheek. “Otherwise you might as well be some quirkless nobody trying to become a hero.” He stated harshly.
“Your classmates, friends, are all hospitalized because of you... Not only that, but you’ve officially been expelled from school, followed up with a bad report on your permanet record to boot.” He pulled at the top of your head again, making you stare straight into his fury-induced eyes. “This is the backlash of what you’ve done with your quirk. For nothing but some spoiled brat, you really are a handful.” Your eyes trailed from his and down his neck, until eventually coming to see a nameplate on the top-right of his chest. ‘Naoto Kishiru ’ it read.
“Don’t...” The words ‘spoiled brat’ had set off a bomb in you. Another flood of memories washed over your brain. Everyone running from you just being present, the still and unmoving bodies of your entire kindergarten class laid against the ground, the tears and frown of your sweet friend, who had said those three words that made you want to die. With no sorts of second thoughts or hesitation, you began to squirm, showing not a sign of stopping. “DON’T CALL ME THAT!” And thus, your ravaging words of your self-imposed aggravation started up once again.
Naoto exhaled in dissapointment. “What do you think your parents are doing right now!? Weren’t your grandma and grandpa notorious villains!?” He yelled. “How do you think your mother and father look right now, pro heros with an offspring who acts just like some street rat!?” The grip on your head got tighter. Tears began to bubble at your eyes again. Seeing this, Naoto released, letting you sink your head against your metal cuffs. Hard and rugged breaths escaped your lips, the tears that flowed off your face creating a small puddle below.
“You damn kids are getting more and more reckless. Someone oughta teach you some proper mannerisms before you grow into some villain like that Fragment Duo.” He turned his back to you, approaching a steel door. A few push of some buttons and a beeping sound reoccured in your ears. But you paid it no mind. “Take the rest of the day to recollect those memories you pushed back. You’ll be served dinner here, but dont expect it do be those five star meals that your maid serves you.” And with that, those were the last words you hears for the next 8 hours.
From that day on, the words ‘ rehabilitation ’ had been carved deeply into your mind.
▁ ▂ ▆ ▇ █ ᖶᓰᘻᘿSᖽᐸᓰᕵ █ ▇ ▆ ▂ ▁
4 whole months had passed, including the day of your birthday. It was now the beggining of Spring, and flowers were just starting to bloom and blossom like they should. Cherry blossom petals could be seen flying through the air, dancing along with the winds and creating a shower of them.
Two cherry blossom trees, however, were planted on either side of a large quartz-made mansion. The shine of it reflected off of the sun, and simply screamed ‘rich people ’, if the steel black gates hadn’t done so already. The stairs itself looked like it would take forever to walk up, which was an understatement to those who were quite used to going up and down 47 long steps.
Slowly, a limousine turned a corner. It began to park itself on the curb infront of the large mansion, then coming to an audible stop. A man exited the car and approached the backside, pulling open a door and letting a young girl exit it. The usual rage-filled eyes she held were now instead empty and emotionless. Around her shoulder was a strap that connected to a small hand bag. The girl didn’t dare say a single word; the memories of her rehabilitation kept coming back.
“[name]! Darling!” A warm voice yelled, followed by a set of heels clicking against the steps repeatedly. Suddenly, you felt yourself being pulled into a tight embrace, the fresh scent of perfume and vanilla entering your nostrils. “mother...” You said dully, not bothering to correct her on what she called you. “Oh, I’m so glad to see you!” Your mom giggled happily, racking her fingers through your curly hair. Her tender and compassionate touch was such a far cry from the way that Naoto gripped your head. On instinct, you were scared for just a split second of your head being slammed into the concrete, straight before flinching. A deep exhale of relief left your lips as a grateful smile was shown. Oh, how you missed the delicate touches of your mom.
As you slowly remembered her familiar scent, another pair of footsteps went down the quartz staircase. You already knew who it was. Those [color] eyes shifted from the crack made by your mothers’ breasts, staring into a pair of piercing ruby eyes; said eyes belonging to your father.
A steady yet hasty pace was kept as you tore away from your mothers loving embrace, turning to stand tall and somewhat proud at your father. His silent glare was unaffected by your presence, not even when you struggled to put on a smile to show him how happy you were to see him again. “Father, I—” “Hush your mouth.” Although it wasn’t a yell or scream, his words were loud enough for you to slam both your lips shut. You flinched. “Damned brat. Do you know how much trouble you’ve stirred up for us?” His voice was roaring. “All of this racket , caused because you decided to go A-wall over power that wasn’t yours.” You sunk your head, eyes staring at the rock-hard ground. “Father, I’m—”
“Sorry?” He mocked the answer you were bound to give. “Thanks to you, our reputation as hero’s have gone below water level. Sorry won’t cut it.” Your mother, seeing you get terribly scolded by your father, frowned. “D’oh, honey, she’s just turned 7 years old and couldn’t spend time with us. Give her a break, why don’t you?” She said, crouching down behind you and wrapping her arms around your body. “I’m quite sure our little [name]-snuckumms realizes what she’s done and is veeeerrry sorry for it,” She used one of her fingers on her left hand to push your chin up, making you look at your father. “Isn’t that right, [name]-dearie?~” Your mother rubbed her nose against your neck, causing you to release a small fit of giggles. “I know you do, I know you do.” She blew a raspberry on your collarbone, which simply made you laugh harder.
Witnessing this small light-hearted event, your father released a sigh. His stern and always nerving frown contorted into a side grin. “Come now, into the house we go!~” Your mom smiled joyously, picking you up and racing up the steps with you in hand.
Dropping the sliced piece of margarine into the cup and turning the handle of it to the left, you gripped the teacup and took a small sip, feeling a sense of refined wealth returning to you. Tea was always the right choice to calm your nerves. The bitter yet sweet taste usually kept your heart beating at a steady race in the most dire of situations.
“So,” Your father said, catching your attention. You felt the atmosphere tense up a bit at his words, which led to you quickly setting the cup of tea down and looking into your reflection of the marigold liquid. “Have you learned anything useful at your reformation classes?” He said, his voice daring you to look up at him, to which you did so. “Ah— Y-yes, I did.” You answered, recalling the harsh times you went through all in order for a new start. “I was taught a lot of things. A-and I.... I...” You had been planing to apologize like you wanted to earlier, but a lump got caught in your throat. Despite the massive swallows of spit you took, this wave of guilt didn’t cease. “I’m... I....” Your father sighed, feeling the slightest bit of pity for you.
“Apologies aren’t needed. What’s done is done.” He said simply, only increasing the weight on your shoulders. “So long as you know where you stand, all is forgiven.” At that, you perked your head up. “Y-yes! I do! I truly do!” You nodded feverishly. “Good,” Your father turned his back to you, walking away. As you released a sigh of relief, you heard him say,
“You’ll be attending a new primary school next week, so look forward to it.” You suddenly began chocking and coughing, which led to a nearby subordinate to come forth your aid.
▁ ▂ ▆ ▇ █ ᖶᓰᘻᘿSᖽᐸᓰᕵ █ ▇ ▆ ▂ ▁
You stood at the entrance of the school gates, ‘Sunshine Sproutlings’ a sign on it read, and tightly gripped the straps of your [color] book bag. The limousine behind you started its engines up, which made you clock your head around, only to catch glimpse of it driving from its spot. “Wha— H-h-hey, come back!” You called, almost about to run in the street after it until feeling a gentle tap on your shoulder. Now even more irritated, you turned to meet a heartwarming smile belonging to a woman who looked like she was the same age as your mom. “Hello! You’re my niece, right?” Her beauty alone was enough to shock you into silence. “I’ll take you being quiet as a yes.” She giggled.
“I’m your auntie Minerva. The kids here call me Mrs.Min, so feel free to join in with them.” Minerva gave your head a few loving pats. “U-u-uhm...” You stuttered, hitting a verbal deadlock. “Don’t be such a nervous nancy about things. Fear not, for your watchful aunt shall make sure that both you and the kids are A-OK!” She put her thumbs in the air, winking as well. “Alright?”
When she got no response from you, you suddenly felt a calm and soothing atmosphere about her. It was enough to make a stress-free grin cross upon your face. Seeing this, your aunt smiled. “Alright!” She cheered in triumphant, pumping her fists in the air. A thought bubbles in your mind as she grabbed your hand and led you into the small building. ‘Is... This Auntie Min’s quirk?’
“I was given a chance to start over again, from the beginning.”
“Alright children, listen up, settle down ~” Minerva said, managing time quiet the mob of children and interrupting their playtime. The moment they did, she grabbed your left hand once again and pulled the small little girl that was her niece from behind her. The young’un visibly shook due to her self-imposed timidness, but then calmed down at her aunts quirk activating. “Say hello to my adorable niece, [name] [last name].” She introduced you in all your glory, showing you off as if you were a golden trophy. That only made your blush worsen.
You darted your eyes around the class. The children all perked their heads up at your introduction. Their eyes gleamed with curiosity and excitement. Some even released suprised awes. “Now, now, children, don’t get all riled up. I’m sure you all know [name] as the offspring of those two lovely hero’s, Bullseye and Espy. But just because of that doesn’t mean that you all treat her different from any other bright bundle of sunshine in here. We’re all individually special, our heritage doesn’t change that in the slightest.” She stated, rubbing your hair in all different directions.
“Y’hear?”
“Yes, Mrs.Min!” The kids all chimed in union.
“But... Apparently, restarts weren’t a thing in reality.”
“Hey, [last name]!”
“Are you really the daughter of those two really, really, really famous hero’s!?”
“[last name]-chan, do you want to play with me!?”
“Y-you can have my toys if you want!”
“I’ll share my snacks with you if you sit next to me for lunch-time!”
“So... I decided to do things on my own,”
The moment you had taken a seat at a floor mat, your fellow classmates began to bombard you with whatever they could think of, yelling requests or asking favors, even offering what they had. This increased your self consciousness. As they gradually increased the level of their voices, your tolerance level did the opposite. Slowly and slowly, you grew more and more irked as they continued on. Finally, you reached your breaking point and whipped your head up, an agitated look on your face.
“Leave. Me. Alone.”
“And prevented a repeat.”
At those 3 words spoken, the kids around you silenced themselves. “Don’t talk to me.” You said harshly, hoping for them to take the hint.
[name], age 8
“However, that costed me much in return.”
Two girls gasped as you walked pass them. “Look, it’s [last name]!” One with her hair in ponytails exclaimed.
Everywhere you went, every step you took, it caught the attention of all who was in your vicinity. Because of your jaw-dropping 3 words at the start of the year, you were practically repelling anyone around you. They either quickly walked opposite of your direction or faced away from you.
It wasn’t a nice feeling.
Everything they were doing caused bad memories to come erupting in your brain again. However, the only difference was that you weren’t throwing your fists up in the air and waving them around at people in an aggravated rage. Rumors began to spread.
“My peers thought that I was some stuck-up snob, a brat who’s only friends were diamonds and gold bits. And I enrolled into a low-costing school to make friends. How ironic.”
You sighed, the emotion in your eyes draining. Despite you taking the initiative unlike your last life at your old school, people still shunned you even now. It was like this was all bound to come into place.
“They were all just like everyone else. They only notice me for my parents.”
While walking down the hallways, respectively earning a few gasps and awes from those you passed by, you stopped to witness a green-haired male. He looked approximately your age, and was gripping the straps of his book bag quite tightly. Boy was his face sweating bullets. Was he anxious? Thats what the expression on his face told you.
“Hey,” You spoke up, hoping to snap him out of whatever daze he was stuck in. “You’re spacing out, and you’re in front of my homeroom door.” You began to snap your two fingers in front of his face. “Helllooo?”
It wasn’t long until the boy finally came to realization that he was simply standing around, releasing confused noise as he did so. He then blinked twice and managed to get a good look at you, eyeing you up and down until a gasp escaped his lips. The boy suddenly started to visibly shake, his teeth chattering against one another. “Y-y-you’re her! Th-the daughter of those pr-pro hero’s! [last name]!-”
You pushed him out of the way and entered your class.
“
I hate it when people do that; acting like you’re some princess fresh from the castle.”
“[last name]-chan, over here!”
“miss [last name], how does it feel to be apart of the lower crust?”
“Are you satisfied with leading this sort of life?”
“Please, we need to know!”
The moment you stepped past the school gates, multiple people weilding cameras and microphones and papers and pens jumped out of nowhere and began to bombard you with questions. You didnt even have time to simply process their constant inquiries because they kept overalapping each other. This was such a hassle.
The first day of a new school year had started up and ended like that; it was already stressful enough with the unstopping nervous glances from the children around you. Now you had to deal with flashing lights and the reeking smell of coffee? They were crowding you like some newly-discovered diamond or something.
“Did you make any new friends!?”
“Is it true that you have two quirks!?”
“How many people have asked you questions!?”
“Do you like cats or dogs better!?”
“Are y— wait, why are you walking away!?”
“It annoyed me endlessly.”
Swiftly, you turned on your heels to face the mob, an irritated look on your face. “Leave me alone! You filthy peasants!” You shouted at them, astounding them all into quietness. With satisfaction left in your brain, you walked off through the crowd of adults, shocing and pushing them out of your way until finally coming across a slick black limo. The door swung open, revealing both of your parents already sat down next to each other. As much joy as it brought you to see them back from their little ‘ business trip’, you were too irked to give a small welcome back.
Instead, you hopped into the limo without a trace of hesitation, slamming the door shut behind you, and taking a seat across from them both, your arms overlapping one another. Slowly, your eyes darted out the window, catching glimpse of not only the news reporters that were suprised to see the [last name] family all at the same time, but a pair of familiar emerald eyes returning a stare your way.
“[name]-cherry-beary!” Your mother shifted from out of her seat and placed her rump right beside you. She pulled you into yet another motherly-embrace, this time squeezing your cheeks and pinching them with her gloved hands. “Why the long face, dear? Second year of school got you down?” She asked, releasing noises of amusement at your pouting expression. “Shthap it!” You cried childishly, struggling to get out of the way of her grandma-like antics.
Your father mused at the sight, however didn’t dare show it. “Your first day at school didn’t go as you hoped, I presume?” He queried. That made you stiffen somewhat. The thing is that, neither of your parents had the slightest idea that you weren’t the social butterfly that they had expected of you. That was the secret you’ve been keeping to yourself since the first few months of last year.
As the dust that the limo left for those behind to eat began to build up, you finally pryed your now reddish cheeks away from your mothers’ hands, turning to face your father. “No, it did. It’s just those people with the flashy lights and black ice creams. And then there’s some of the kids in class who only want to be my friends because I’m your daughter. I bet if I was any body else’s daughter, they would ignore me completely or even treat me like they do that ‘Deku’ kid.” As you said these words with a heavy heart, you pulled your legs up to your chest and hugged them.
“Put your legs down, [name]. It’s undignified.” Your father mentioned, which caused you to flush pink and set your legs down, then muttering a quick apology. “Deku?” Your mother asked. “Mhm. Izuku ‘Deku’ Midoriya. Everyone treats him like trash because he’s quirkless.” Your eyes gleamed a bit, a hint of sadness in them. “It’s kinda pitiful; The way the world treats those with no power is disgraceful. I hate it.”
“Which is why people like us must step in.” Your father interjected. “And while we’re on the subject of quirks, how’s your ‘Mimic’ going?” He asked about your quirk. “I understand that now only holding simply one quirk in your arsenal is difficult, but it also must have taken a load off of your shoulders,” You mother added, using her two fingers to squish your cheeks.
“Motherrrr, noooo!” You whined again as she giggled. “I enjoy having such an adorable daughter to tease.”
“My quirk is going,” Your ripped yoyr cheeks from your mom. “Really, really well! There’s this one boy, Bakugo I think, who can create fire from his hands! He had pushed me out of the way this morning and before I could tell him off, my hand started emitting steam from my palms.” You said while while flicking your wrist, which created small sparks. “Oho,” Your mother smirked. “If you can, try aiming at me and shoot.” She said. “Shoot you? But wouldn’t that hurt-”
“Don’t worry darling. You know me.” The raven-haired woman assured with a wink. “But— .... N-nevermind.” You brought both of your hands into the air, lighting them up with fire.
It looked like your hands would be burnt to a crisp, but they were covered in glycerin thus protecting your hands from any drawbacks. Directing them towards your mother and firing, you found the weak blast be deflected off of a turquoise translucent shield. “Hmmm, seems not-so-strong as of right now. But sorry not, sweetheart, as you train yourself, the quirks you acquire in your arsenal will grow stronger to your advantage.” She rubbed the top of your head, earning a few mewls of joy from you. “Thanks mom,” A smile made its way.
“Also, a word of advice, honey: If you pity that ‘Deku’ boy so much for being such a loner, then befriend him.” You let out a confused noise. “Wh-what? But...” You slowly began to trail off, your thoughts ringing in your head. ‘I don’t know how to make friends. Especially after last year, they still don’t forget.’
“Not like we’ll force you,” Your mothers eyes gleamed. “You’re free to make whatever choices you want, so long as you keep out of trouble.” She said. ‘Oh? Thank goodness...’ You inwardly sighed in relief. It was quite obvious that making friends in your shoes was a bit of a challenge. And making friends with people who wanted to pair up with you brcause of your name was even harder. Usually, you’d flat out reject people who begged for your friendship, however....
