Chapter 1
Tim was like every other kid. Of course, he loved his birthday.
And it would be more than once a year, if he could have his way!
Tim’s special day came very swift,
And naturally, he got more than one gift!
But especially one gift caught his eye,
And Tim excitedly cried out “My oh my”!
He got a bright and colorful umbrella, just like he had wished for
But little did he know, that it was so much more.
All of a sudden a voice said: “Hi, I’m Jim the talking umbrella”.
“Nice to meet you,″ the boy said, “And I’m Tim, your new best fella!”
As best friends it goes without saying,
They spent all their time together, playing.
Then suddenly a storm came up and the sky turned black,
That’s when Tim told Jim “Let’s go home, we better head back!”
So on this very stormy and rainy day,
A wind caught Jim and blew him away.
“Don’t you worry,” cried Jim The Umbrella,
“I will get back to you Tim, because you’re my best fella!”
The wind took him high, the wind took him low,
But where he was, Jim did not know!
As it was getting very late,
Jim thought he could use the stars to navigate.
Unfortunately, there were too many clouds and he did not have any luck,
And on top of it all, that was when the lightning struck.
But lightning does not hurt Jim, as it would hurt Tim the boy,
It just put him into a sleep full of dreams, because he was a special toy.
The storm took the umbrella through lots of turns and spins,
And that’s how the adventure of the talking umbrella begins.
