THE MOVE
ROBERT’S POV,
The light breeze that blows when I sit in backyard of my home is one of the many things that I am going to miss. we are moving today to Texas because of my father’s transfer it is one kind of good thing as I am going to be with my best friend Ryder after almost 4 years.
I am kind of happy and kind of sad as I am going to leave this beautiful town now. I just hope that Texas gives me only good things to remember.
“Robert, come on now we have to leave” my mother broke me from my train of thoughts. “Coming mom.” I said and stood up to leave.
“Are we all ready dad ?”, I asked dad. My dad Cristian Sullivan is one of the calmest man I have ever known he cracks some jokes sometimes but when he becomes angry only one person can save you that is my mother Catherien Sullivan.
“We are all set kiddo” my mother said keeping an elbow on my father’s shoulder.
“How many times I have told you mom not to call me kiddo” I said irritated by her calling me kiddo
She smiled sweetly and said “you will always be my kiddo, kiddo.”, I rolled my eyes and my father looked at her in adoration.
My mother Catherine Sullivan is a total opposite of my father she is bubbly carefree and really forgiving. My mother and father are still madly in love with each other. Even after 20 years of their marriage.
I admired them. “Hey little one, are you ready?” I addressed my little sister Rose Sullivan she was in 3rd grade now. She is really sweet and cute.
She huffed and said, “you say to mom to not to call you kiddo but you call me little one I am grown up now. See it mom now.” She looked at mom.
Mom made a stern face and faced me and said, “Don’t call her little one Robert.” She then turned to rose and said “Are you happy now little one.” and started laughing.
“That’s my mom she does justice” I said stuck my tongue out to rose and hi-fied my mom.
Rose whined and said, “Dad, see them.” Dad turned to us and said “Stop teasing my grownup daughter. She is the most sensible here. Right rose.” I and mom rolled our eyes at the same time. dad then kneeled to rose’s height and said, “so has my daughter checked all the rooms if everything is out or not.”
“Yes, dad I have done that I love you dad.” she said and kissed Dad’s cheek.
“No kisses for mama.” Mom pouted.
I went and kissed her cheek and said, “Even if she forgets you. I am always there mom. I am also your favorite right.”
Rose ran to mom and said, “No, I am mama’s favorite not you. Right mom.” Mom held her up and said “I love you both equally. you both are my favorite.” She kissed both our cheeks. Both of us smiled.
My dad smiled in adoration and said, “now let’s get going we don’t want to get late Scotts are waiting for us we have to also do the unpacking tomorrow we have a company party tomorrow. So let’s get going.”
Mr. Scott is my father’s best friend and his son Ryder is my best friend. We used to leave in the same town until Mr. Scott got transfer and now we are moving there. They are also going to be our nieghbours. I am so excited.
We all entered the car. I took a look at the town for the last time and wished that Texas turns out good for us.
