The house was quiet, until momma got home. She would get home from work, sit on the couch and demand me to get her house shoes. If I were too slow, she would slap me across the face and tell me a dog can move faster than you. After she put her house shoes on, she would lean back in the recliner and tell me to fix her some dinner. If it wasn't something she liked, she would throw it across the room, then she would spit in my face, then she would tell me what she wanted and then if I burned her dinner she would beat me with a belt. I know she would, because I have the scars to prove it from a month ago. when I burnt her dinner on accident, but she didn't care. She took me out back and tied me to a tree face first and whipped me up and down on my back. As I was screaming, I could smell blood and feel it running down my back. My whole back was bloody and severely bruised.

0

I don't want to go through that again. I get her dinner done and take it to her. I tell her I am going to clean up the kitchen and go to bed. She looks at me with cold dark eyes and said," good boy." Then reaches out to pat me on the head like I am a dog.

The next day went by OK until momma got home from work, but she seemed happy almost. She told me to go down into the basement and get a couple of light bulbs, so I did. The basement had very little light,it always smelt musty and I always felt like something was watching me. As I grabbed the light bulbs I heard something moan and move in the far corner of the basement. I ran back up the stairs and out of the basement as fast as I could go. I handed momma the light bulbs and told her that something was down there, of course she didn't believe me and proceeded to call me an idiot, then she looked down at me with those cold eyes of hers and said, "did you not think, it could have been a rat.

"I'm telling you something is down there!!"

0

She smacked me in the mouth and said, "Don't you ever raise your voice like that to me again. If you do. I will throw you down the stairs and lock the door. Do I make my self clear!" She said as she stared cold hearted at me.

0

"Y-Y-yes I understand." I cried as tears rolled down my face.

0

"Now, I need two more light bulbs." She said as she crossed her arms and stared at him as if he was some kind of a dimwit.

0

"No!,Momma!,No. I don't want to go back down there. I am telling you, there's something down there." I cried.

0

" you heard what I said. Now do it, or else."

0

I wiped the tears from my face and headed down into the dark and musty basement not knowing what was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs.

0

"Hurry up Tommy!,before I come down there! You don't want that!" She screamed out in anger as her face turned a shade of red.

0

"Tommy! I'm coming down there to beat you with my belt! You hear me?"

0

She grabbed the belt off of the kitchen table and headed down into the basement yelling," Tommy!, I'm coming for you,you little brat!, you will pay for not doing what I told you to do". As she descended the stairs, She turned and looked to her left and found me facing the wall.

0

"What are you doing!" She yelled. "I am going to beat you, to every inch of your life."

0

I didn't move, didn't even flinch. I just stood there looking at the wall.

0

She walked up to me and before she could touch me. I turned around slowly to look up at her as my eyes glowed red. My whole body felt weird almost like I had no soul.

0

She tried to scream but couldn't for she was frozen with fear. She started to back away, but before she could,I grabbed her and threw her against the wall, then I grabbed her again and lifted her in the air by her neck. She heard me say in a demonic voice,"Tommy, told you something was down here."

0

As she looked into my red glowing eyes she said, "I'm sorry." Then all you could hear through the basement was my laughter as I snapped her neck.

0

As I stood there starring at mommas body. I decided that I would leave and vanish into the night. After all there is something evil lurking inside me, so I know that I will be Ok.

truben21: It took me a while to get into the flow of this story, but once I did, I was hooked. The female lead step from naivety to siren was a little fast for me, but I guess it needed to be, to move the story along. I can't wait for the next story, with the cliff hanger whetting my appetite.
