Everything you need to know before starting
This story is inspired by a lot of different video games I’ve played throughout my time, lots of TV shows and so on and so far. Here are some acronyms that will be used in the story, to understand before hand.
I am also crossposting from Wattpad. I am the original author of Evo Online.
EXP - Experience Points, gained by doing things in the world of Evo Online and increases your overall level, and your own skills.
MMORPG- Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game
VRMMORPG - Virtual Reality Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game
PK - Player Kill
TP crystal - Teleporting crystal that allows you to go to the destined area of choice.
So basically, the headset they use is called the Virtual Life. It allows players to enter a dream mode inside their brain and allows for the full use of senses in a virtual world, which is where Evo Online takes place.
I am not 100 percent original, I heavily took influence from the show ” Sword Art Online ” However all characters I have written and the world I have created is all created by myself. Log Horizon is another big influence but once again, my writing is 100 original after the announcements and entrance to the game world.
Virtual Life is a system that well allows Full Dive technology and well was created for medicinal purposes and also happens to be able to be used for video games.
Evo Online is not the first mmorpg out for the Virtual Life system, it is a dying genre and Evo Online was meant to bring it back. Urgent had good intentions at first, but spread out a virtual “virus” you can say and well they managed to disable the log-out button and trapped the players there intentionally.
The Council in my story, and around 2500 players were invited to the Beta, which is the stage of the game when it is not yet finished developing and holds some people to test it out.
The log out button removal was after the beta.
This game has no class system, you can do whatever skills you want to level however you want. Literally the possibilities are endless.
For example, you cannot play as a Warrior. Instead you would level up your strength stat and defense stat and use swords and shields.
You can’t pick to be a mage. So you’d pick and level up different magic skills from these sub classes,
Fire-Water-Earth-Air-Light-Dark (Not in any specific order). These are the standard magic trees that you would level to be a mage basically.
That’s really everything that you would need to know, I’ll update if there is anything that is new or unheard of.

Also, I’m not trying to copy “New Life Online” by Scythus, or even have any relation to his story, the names and characters are a pure coincidence.
