Mochi
Jeongguk's POV
The smell of Old Spice fills my nostrils as my small boyfriend presses his back against my chest. The smell of his shampoo is so familiar it brings me peace just like the sunlight glimmering in our bedroom through the curtains.
I lay in my warm bed basking in the morning light, lost in my thoughts, not noticing the puppy brown eyes peering up at me. That is, until the smaller male lets out a light hearted giggle.
"Jeongukkie..." The older whispers, lingering toward the end.
I feel small fingers poke at my cheek. Smiling I grab ahold of my lovers hand.
Jimin and I have been together for as long as I can remember.Our mothers were friends in college and we simply have grown up together. Through every grade he has been by my side. Through every final exam, every new crush, and after every bully, he still thought I was the best friend he could ask for and I felt the same about him.
"What is it, baby?" I pull him closer to me nuzzling into his warm embrace "Do you want me to make pancakes?"
A small grin settles on Jimin's face and he swings his feet off our california king and scurries to the kitchen, his sweater paws swaying around as his left the doorway.
I groan reluctantly pulling my body from beneath the covers. My feet hit the cold hardwood as I let out a short sigh trudging to the bathroom. Of course the man I chose to call mine was a morning person.
After finishing my buisness I walk into the kitchen only to find Jimin standing on a chair reaching for one of our highest cabinets. Spread along all of the counters layed a various foods ranging from chocolate chips to bacon bits and pickle relish to peanut butter.
Just as I am about to ask Jimin what he planned on making the chair he was using as a stool began to shake.
"Oh oh, Ggukie, HELP!"
I run over and my petite boyfriend lands in my arms, but this was no knight in shining armour type of save the day because he landed in my arms and then we landed on the floor.
"Ggukie, you were supposed to catch me in your arms and carry me to saftey!" Jimin shouted in my ear a smile on his face. He poked at my arms, "My boyfriend needs to take a trip to the gym. He is getting kind of flimsy in the arms."
"Really Jimin-hyung" I scoffed "maybe if your weren't eating all of this junk food you wouldn't be such a heavy sack of potatoes that goes around jumping on very attractive and very strong young men!"
"Y-you think Im getting fat?" I look just soon enough to see Jimin sink down, his red sweater paws coming up to cover his eyes that had glazed over with tears. "Jiminie can go on another diet, Daddy a-and after big Jiminie's dance practice Jiminie can work out a-and then Jiminie can wake up earlier and go on runs like he, like he used to..." Jimin trailed off his bottom lip quivering as he fell into little space.
"No mochi, baby no. You are perfect the way you are. Every inch of your body is pefect baby. Daddy loves you, the way you giggle when he is clumsy, the way you snuggle up to him when you sleep. Daddy loves how graceful you look when you dance and he love how you wear these cute sweaters that swallow you whole." I pull his arms away from his face and he crawls up my legs and lays across my chest on the floor. I craddle his shaking body in my arms as he calms down.
"Baby" my mochi looks up at me "are you okay?"
"Jiminie is sweepy" he yawns and puts his arms out so I can carry him. I pick him up and he wraps his legs around my waist. This isnt the life I was cut out for. I put him in the bed and kiss his forehead realizing he has already fallen into a deep sleep.
I grab my duffle bag and throw in some trainers and workout gear as well as a couple water bottles. I take a quick glance at Jimin before leaving the apartment walking to the gym. On the way my phone vibrates.
