I need emotion novocaine.

I need a numbing of my brain.

I need something.

To take away.

The remains of your name.

Dear Mr Allan,

We respect your choices of which you frown upon us because of our actions which landed us here today on October 12th, 1984. Each on a different road to life, each of us having different perspectives and personalities which you may or may not like or agree with.

I need amnesia for a day.

And an umbrella for the rain.

That hasn't gone away.

Since you said you didn't need me.

But because of this, you hold a grunge. A grunge you may not know you have, but you do. And everyone around you sees it. You don't know the real us, you don't know who we are or what we like or anything for that perspective. You see what you want to see. What others see as well. You see what our reputation holds, who we supposedly 'stand for'.

Lately, been thinking maybe,

There's a place we,

Won't feel so crazy.

Than in a hazy.

Mid-morning day dream.

I found a shady,

Spot that they saved me.

They said-

But today, we got to see who were really were. Without the stupid stereotypes of our cliche groups. And... We think we like it better.

Come be the newest member of

The broken hearts club.

We hate every little thing

About the people that we loved.

We don't see ourselves as a criminal...

We're the let downs,

Or a princess...

We're the lied too,

Or a athlete...

Where the lost go when it finds you...

Not a basket case...

Where the lonely, make the lonely feel less lonely...

Nor a brain.

And were dying too..

Invite you to stay.

And take away the pain.

Cause misery loves company,

So hey, what do you say?

We were brainwashed to believe that everyone was just like what they look like, who their friends are, where they live, and how they act. And most importantly, what their reputation was. Because that's all that matters right? Not if your kind, caring or a great individual, it's about what you seem like on the outside and not the inside. When I, Theo Trueman, walked inside those library doors thought the same way, we all did.

And at first I wasn't sure.

If there's even a cure,

For what I'm feeling,

Cause I'm feeling,

Been more and more ubsurd.

And you may still frown upon us, all of us, when you see us again. Walking by ourselves or with our group of friends. Or maybe, you won't ever see us in the halls again. We talked about that too, you know. How it was going to be the next day at school, Monday. Because people like you and our peers make it like that. We can't just hang out with who we want to hang out with or we would be considered crazy.

The repeating in my head.

Of every last word that you said.

Feels like,

Ever since you left,

You still won't leave me.

It shouldn't be like that. We shouldn't have to still hang out with people we don't want. But society makes us. It has that kind of power and force you know? To pull us towards a group we may like to dislike all because that's what people think we are. Whenever it's a scumbag criminal to a pristine and polished princess. Or maybe.. We're the crazy ones.. To think such things.

And lately,

Been thinking maybe..

There might be a place where,

We won't feel so crazy.

For changing,

The way you made me,

And in a daydream,

I let them save me.

But what's the point in trying to explain it? The feeling of being raw with emotions, the feeling of new feelings? You won't understand. I wouldn't either if I didn't go to Saturday detention on October 12th, this vary Saturday either. So this is where I end it. You see us how you want to see us.

I'm the newest member of the broken hearts club.

We hate every little thing about the people that we loved.

That being said, you see us as a...

Criminal

Were the let downs,

Princess

Were the lied to,

Athlete

Were the lost go when it finds you

Basket case

Where the lonely makes the lonely feel less lonely

And, the brain

And were dying too.

Invite you to stay.

And take away the pain.

Cause misery loves company,

so hey, what do you say?

Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, the broken hearts club.

I guess if you can't beat em, join em, that's what they always say. Let's go inside, let's coincide, and all commiserate, singing-

Were the newest members of the broken hearts club. We still feel pretty lonely and we wish we didn't but we're the newest members of the broken hearts club and we all kinda hate it but it's easier than love. Singing,

We're the newest members of the broken hearts club and we still feel pretty lonely and we wish we didn't but we're the letdowns, we're the lied too, we're the lost go when it finds you, where the lonely make the lonely feel less lonely and we're dying too.
