Meeting a monster

I may not be sure if monsters exist, but I'd rather live my life in doubt than be persuaded by a real life experience of one.

0

Growing up I never believed in monsters as I thought they simply existed in stories to scary people. But I never expected to not only see ,but experience them for myself.

0

When I arrived at the facility was given a set of numbers and then thrown into a cell like room with too much white.

0

D-8029

0

That was now my name in this place though if I refused to comply things only got worse. And I thought things couldn't get worse till I learned what this was.

0

This place wasn't just my prison ,but it was a prison for these things called SCPs. Or as I quickly found out Monsters. I refused to believe it until one day I was taken to one of them. The thing was called SCP-8614 and was classed as keter, though I have no clue what that meant. Though as we got closer I got this gut feeling I was going to meet something out of a nightmare.

0

Three others who wore then same clothes as me were forced into the things cell or rather containment. The room was dark with small lights in the corners and center though they were kept low. Even in the low light we could make out the large form of the creature laying on its side against the back wall.

0

I made sure to keep an eye on the thing as we tried to remove what seemed to be bones in the corners. As I moved to the corner close to its head it looked as if it was sleeping though its long tail was lazily moving across the floor.

0

'As long as we don't touch it we should be fine hopefully,'i rememered being told as I picked up the bones only to have cover my mouth to not throw up.

0

Right amongst the bones was a head which had some of the flesh had been torn off. I turned to the others only to tense up as one of them picked up the tail to move it.

0

The creature immediately shifted lifting its rather innocent looking head slowly opening its amber eyes. It tilted its head to look at the person who at this point drop the thing's tail.

0

None of us had a chance to move as it grabbed the man with its massive black scaled hand bringing him directly in front of its face. Its eyes narrowed before it did something that made me freeze.

0

It spoke.

0

"Well isn't this a treat. A human sent to an early grave due to ignoring a rather simple warning. 'don't touch the creature' ,but Noooooo you decided to pick up my tail."it spoke with a annoyed tone though its mouth shifted a bit showing the numerous teeth filling it mouth.

0

"What to do. What to do... I suppose I would be far to generous to let all four of you live so I suppose you'll do fine as a snack. Though you smell horrid," it shook its head with a huff squeezing the poor man to the point we heard bone break only for him to scream. Sadly that only made it mad as it open its mouth. It was like watching a flower bloom as its four sectioned mouth unfurled revealed rows upon rows of teeth.

0

Just as it did ,the entrance opened so we ran for it. I looked back only to see the thing latch its mouth onto the man shaking him resembling a dog with a chew toy. I ran the rest of the way out just as the doors were about to close not wanting to be its next meal.

Hi Razgriz,

I recently went through your story "Eyes of a Monster" and I loved it so much. Your writing is amazing and I kept thinking how cool it would look as a comic.

I loved the opening where you're thrown into a stark white cell and your identity becomes a number. Also the moment when the nightmare creature speaks after someone touches its tail that tense horror would be gripping and visually striking. These moments are ideal for a comic as they would look intense and immediately draw readers in.

I specialize in adapting stories into manga and comics and I would love to bring your story to life visually. No pressure though I really think your work would shine as a comic. If you are interested in a paid collaboration I would love to discuss how we could make that happen.

If you are interested message me on Instagram (username digitalstrokes_21) or DM me on DC (username peterjones_90) so we can bring the story to life visually

Regards
Peter
