Chapter 1—Fragmented Thoughts

Fragmented are the thoughts of the past, and yet, they somehow manifest itself within the present day. Sadly, that's no escaping them; they hide deep within the cerebral walls.

—The constant tug of war that exists the within the mind.

"Why do you hold onto these thoughts?" she often asks herself.

Never having a definitive answer as to why, she's not even sure if there will ever be a reason and should there be, no one, according to her, deserves right to know.

Many ostracized her. Those very thoughts were there when no one else was. All she ever wanted during her time of darkness was to escape into the light but sadly, she dangerously sort comfort within those broken memories.

Looking through the foggy glass upon the nights' sky, her mind brings sudden stumbles upon the reflection of that one. Yes that one! The one with whom she's undoubtedly held up with such high esteem.

The one whose feelings she regarded above her own. The one who promised her many things. The one who cursed death upon her, and yet, with those very lips would whisper, "I love you."

For some reason, to which many would never understand, she forgave him. She continued to love him. Even to very end when he left....in pieces.
