Chapter 1
"Get up you brat, and make breakfast, Alex is going to be here in thirty minutes, and you know what happens when you aren't ready." She says and laughs. I obediently get up and make bacon and eggs. My sister loves bacon, something I haven't had in forever. I run to the bathroom, after setting kara, my sisters, plate on the table and take a quick shower. I quickly get dressed, and go to the kitchen, today's going to be a long day. As I was fixing kara' s coffee, Alex comes in. He wraps his arms around me, and I inwardly cringe. " hey baby." He says in my ear. " hi" when he sees what i'm wearing, he explodes. " what the fuck are you wearing? What did I say about that shirt?" He yells, slapping me across the face. "I-l- I'm sorry I forgot!" I sob, falling to the floor. " Go change we're leaving in five minutes" " I- I have to finish the coffee" "Go!" He yells and I scramble upstairs, grabbing a sweatshirt, and putting it on in record time.
In his car, it's quiet and really uncomfortable. He takes my hand, laces our fingers together, and then in his lap. He takes a deep breath and says, " for your punishment, your not going to the bookstore." He says and my heart sinks. I have been saving up to buy the book series, After, which of course I had to ask his permission. I was thankfull when we pulled up at the school
