Introduction
In the history of the fae kingdom there has always been five ruling bodies, four of the five kingdoms pertain to the different elements, water, earth, air, fire, the fifth is the spiritual sect of the fae kingdom. As it is in nature each elemental kingdom has its natural adversary, fire to water and earth to air, because of past rulers who tried to eradicate any threat to their kingdom from their elemental enemy it caused tensions and animosity between these kingdoms. Modern day rulers have been anxiously trying to solve this issue and reinstate peace between elemental enemies, the conclusion they came up with involves a symbolic union to take place between each of the kingdoms.
Two different unions will occur all overseen by the spiritual sect, a union between water and fire and a union between earth and air. The unions are comprised of volunteers from each of the different kingdoms, all are willing to forgo meeting their true mate in order to pursue peace between their kingdoms. To give up ones true mate is a great sacrifice, taking on a choice mate would not allow for as powerful of a connection between them. The offspring would only be able to have one elemental power rather than both of the parent’s elemental powers and the offspring’s own elemental power would be greatly diluted in comparison to the offspring of true mates. True mates do not have to be only fae, they could be other species such as werewolf, vampire, or witch. With true mates of another species they would randomly be majority fae or the other species but they will have aspects of the other in their physical traits and powers.
The first union is set to occur between Aviara, a decorated female warrior of the water sect, known for being an essential part of the water sect’s army because of her extensive knowledge on battle strategy and infinite knowledge of water manipulation. She is set to be mated to Kallan a war general from the fire sect, his specialty fighting style deals with molten fire and he is one of the fire sect’s greatest assets. This union will bring two of the top warriors of the water and fire sect together to generate trust and peace between the warring sects. Without this union the kingdom of the fae will return to destruction and disarray, Aviara and Kallan know their duty to this cause. But will their own true mates allow this union to occur? This is Aviara’s story.
