Growing up, Jeno was an enthusiastic child who loved to run around and play. He was optimistic and smiled endearingly. His eyes would form into crescents that was similar to the moon but was as bright as the sun. He was always found in playgrounds, treehouses or in the house of the girl he's been crushing on since forever.
She was Jang Yeeun, Lee Jeno's first love.
Although she was older by two years, he never thought of it as a hindrance. They would roam around the forest, play games and make fun of other children in secret. People often seen them together. As if one didn't work without the other. Jeno and Yeeun went to the same neighborhood, same school, same doctor even, and in a matter of months, in the same university as well.
Which really wasn't much of a surprise because in the small town they're in, there's only a total of 5 universities. And three of them were kilometers away from their house. So both Jeno and Yeeun remained inseparable, now making fun of older students and professors in their university.
Jeno was more than sure that Yeeun's his soulmate.
The 10th of August came and finally, Yeeun turned 18. The day where you dream of whatever your soulmate sees.
Being the naive 16 year old Jeno is, he prepared a candle lit dinner for her. He bought a small ring, cooked a whole buffet and brought her on top of a mountain, confessing his love for her for the entire universe to hear.
But what Yeeun dreamt of was the perspective of a young girl living in Hongkong. She was a girl named Elkie who studied at day and busked at the streets at night. She had an amazing voice that could compete with an angel's and had a hardworking spirit that doesn't know when or how to give up.
Desperate to meet her, Yeeun left her province and went directly to Hongkong with her own money.
