∆01- "You Really Just Said Homie-cide."
Chapter 01- "You Really Just Said Homie-cide."
"WHO STAINED MY GRAY HOODIE?" I stormed down my basement stairs to where all my friends turned to a pig's den. All 7 of them, and my brother turned to me, wide-eyed. I started to walk over to them slowly, a scowl on my face.
"Oh shit."
"I won't ask again so I suggest you 'fess up," I stopped in front of Zach.
"Or else."
"e-else what," Ricky muttered under his breath.
"Oh sweetie, you don't want to know. If you hear the evil thoughts going through my head right now, you'll wish you w-"
"IT WAS ME."
My head jeered to Victor. He was looking down, with the most innocent pout on his face. I immediately softened at that. I think I scared my child.
"It w-was an accident a-and I didn't wanna tell you, because you're one scary motherfucker," His baby face pulled into a small, but adorable frown.
"Vic, you should have told me, you know that I'll never hurt my child, right?" he slowly nodded.
Since the laundry room was at the back of the basement, I quickly walked over to put my hoodie into washer. I didn't forget the 'Extra Care' option. That gray hoodie was my life. I walked back over and joined my friends on the couch, grabbing a sour patch kids from the (messy) snack table.
Currently, the entire gang were at my place, shoving food down their throats and aggressively playing on my Xbox. We had Ricky and Maddy, my two bestest friends, who also happened to be in absolute love with each other, hugging on one end of the couch. Santiago was stuffing his face with chocolate covered popcorn on a beanbag, and Victor cris-crossed on the carpet beside him. They were also best friends in our gang. Javier was on another beanbag on the opposite side of Santiago, tapping away on his phone. Eric and my little brother, Noah took the other end of the couch, with controllers in their hands. And Zach was laying spread eagle on the carpet.
I guess they paused their game when they heard me yell.
"Why aren't you gaming anymore?" I scrunched my nose at the two boys.
"Wow, you're just gonna sit down and act like you didn't just almost commit homie-cide," Javier commented.
"You really just said homie-cide."
"And what about it?" This boy was too sassy for his own good.
"What even, you know what? forget it," I stated, mentally facepalming at him. I looked over to Victor and pointed accusingly to him.
"You, swear jar, now. You too, Javier."
"I swear you guys baby me more than Noah and I'm a whole 3 years older," Victor muttered as he walked to a jar near the TV counter.
"But you're a baby though."
And we all burst out laughing at that.
The time was 7:46PM and me, Maddy, and the boys and gulped down everything edible in the basement. 4 pizza boxes, 19 assorted family size candy bags, 2 big bowls of popcorn, 3 1L sodas as well 6 cans, and 3 bags of Oreos. If you think we were even full, you underestimated us.
"I'm gonna order more pizza. You guys start cleaning up." I pushed myself off the couch and head upstairs to where there was less noise. I picked up the house phone and I called Papa John's as they were right around the corner from my house.
The phone picked up, and I got to order 4 more boxes of pizza. Then I'm asked what toppings I wanted and I rushed over to the basement door.
"WHAT TOPPINGS DO YALL WANT?"
"SAUSAGE"
"PEPPERONI"
"OOH GET THE MIXED ONE WITH THE BACON"
"..."
"YALL SURE?"
"PINEAPPLE," Javier screamed out, after everyone agreed on what they wanted.
"DEFINITELY NOT," I called back.
I placed the order and ran back downstairs. The place looked much more appealing now and the big trashcan off to the side, looked half full.
"Oh yeah, we're all staying over tonight, Connie," Maddy informed me.
"Your dad said yes, so that means you can't kick us out," Javier added.
"When did you guys even ask my dad, and don't we have school anyway?" I groaned.
"I asked him when I got here, and no, it's a three day weekend." Freaking Santiago. Leave it to my friends to be jobless on a three day weekend. I, for one, had planned on sleeping the entire weekend.
'Ding Dong'
"Pizza's here."
"I'll get it," Noah shot up, a little too excited. I gave my friends a 'whats his deal' look and the moment Noah was out of earshot, Javier smacked his hand on the table.
"I heard his crush works at the pizza place," he gushed. We all looked at each other before we tiptoed to the basement door. We were spying on my brother, who had set the pizza on the table.
He looked like he was having a conversation with some kid I recognized from school. They exchanged something before Noah shut the door and gave a shaky sigh. He smiled at the little piece of paper before putting it in his pocket.
Huh?
He grabbed the pizza(s) and started to head back. We all rushed back to our previous positions and Vic whisper-yelled 'act normal'.
In which Zach took as 'go crazy' and started doing the chicken dance.
