Blades of assasins (Hoseok x Reader)

Peace is all that I see right now. People just talking to each other, smiling, laughing. Children happily playing with each other. People working on the beautiful land while the sun is shining and the wind is breezing. I like seeing my village like this and I will do everything to keep it that way. Or my name wouldn’t be Y/F/N, after all, I’m the daughter of the leader of this village.

I’m Y/N the daughter of Arakile. Arakile is the leader of this village for many years right now. Before I was born our leader got killed, but many people told me that he was a really bad leader. Everyone feared him because of his power, he wasn’t fair to anyone and the people of this village lived in poverty. Malum was the name of the leader. He trained our people into assassins and forced them to kill and steal from the people from the other villages nearby. Our clan got a lot of hate because of that and we were feared a lot. Because of Malum, we lived in poverty and the people started to steal and kill without finding it terrible. One day a group of people had enough of it all, they didn’t want to follow a monster. With the skills they got trained with, they succeeded in killing Malum. Around that time my dad was the chief of the clan’s army. He was always nice and helped everyone out, so they appointed him as the new leader. I was 2 around that time, and things changed ever since. We lived peacefully and even earned back the trust of the other villages.

I looked down at my clothes my fingers slowly gliding over my clan’s symbol that was on my ninja uniform.

″Iga″ I spoke my clans name softly, a smile appearing on my face.

″Y/N get down!″ a male voice screamed and my happy mood slowly faded away. I jumped off the branch I was sitting on and landed on my feet back on the ground.

″Hoseok″ I said irritated while I eyed him from head to toe.

Hoseok was a guy around my age, he was the strongest in my clan and favored by many. Including my father. Ever since my mom died my dad started to train me. Not as my dad but as leader Arakile. He trained me very strictly, he was always my leader first and second my dad. But I knew he was only doing this cause he wanted me to protect myself. He already lost someone precious to him and he didn’t want to lose me either. I trained every day and very hard just to make my dad proud. I was the strongest in our clan until Hoseok came. He was found when he was 8 in the forest nearby. He was unconscious and covered with scars. Our clan took him in and my dad raised him as his own son. Before Hoseok came into our clan my dad would only look at me. How well I learned everything and how strong I was. But ever since Hoseok came all eyes were on him. Cause Hoseok learned faster than me and was stronger than me, it hurt my pride. And that stayed, no matter how hard I practiced, how stronger I became. Hoseok was always a step ahead. Now my dad was the leader he assigned Hoseok as the chief of our clan. And I.... well I was the second chief.

″What do you want?″ I asked irritated making him chuckle.

″Your dad wanted to see you″ he said seriously. I walked past him to go see my dad not wanting to stand longer eye in eye with this person. Hoseok was wearing his uniform just like me, was he back from something? I was wearing my uniform cause I had to train the children in the village in a bit. It made me curious. Hoseok always got to do the exciting jobs and knew about everything. While I wasn’t even treated as a chief. I only needed to keep an eye on the village and train the kids.

″Dad you wanted to see me?″ I asked entering the enormous room in the palace, well, of course, it’s enormous he is the leader. I saw my dad standing in the room in his practice outfit while he was holding a katana. My eyes widened the movements he made were so clean. He had his eyes closed and held the katana with both hands firmly. He slowly brought it down while opening his eyes.

″How many times do I have to tell you not to be so loud and always knock Y/N?″ my dad asked as he walked to the wall with beautiful katana’s hanging on it. He hangs the katana he used back at its place and turned around to face me.

″How are you feeling?″ he asked making me arch my eyebrows because of the weird question.

″Uhm.. good″ I said awkwardly.

″I’m serious Y/N focus. Did you had pain anywhere on your body lately out of nowhere?″ he asked and I heard that he was really serious. One thing I knew is not messing with my dad when he is in this state. I straightened my position and cleared my throat.

″No dad I didn’t have any pain on my body lately″ I said speaking clearly. I saw him looking mad and quickly corrected myself.

″I mean leader Arakile″ I said softly while lowering my head. I felt so afraid and small in front of my own father. I heard him sigh and clenched my eyes shut afraid that he was mad.

″Alright tell me immediately if you don’t feel well″ he said and I nodded my head.

″Now go. Your lesson is about to start″

″Alright I will now excuse myself″ I said bowing my head before leaving the house.

″Alright everyone again! 1! 2! 3!″ I screamed loudly enough for every student of me to hear while I walked in the front. Everyone screamed with me while slapping the air with their bokken.

″Is everything going okay?″ Hoseok asked me giving me a heart attack because I didn’t notice his presence.

″Geez you gave me a heart attack″ I said seeing him laugh. I noticed that all my students were getting excited when they saw him.

″And how is everything going?″

″Why do you wanna know?″ I asked while focusing my attention back on the students to see if they were doing it right.

″I’m the chief I need to know″ he said making me mad. He always does things like this. He likes to annoy me with the fact that he is stronger than me and that he is higher than me.

″Well I’m also the chief″ I said turning myself around to face him.

″The second chief″ he said getting in my face with emphasis on ‘second.’

″Where did you go?″ I asked changing the subject into something I actually wanted to talk about.

″That’s not something for you to know″ he said and I knew he wasn’t going to tell me. I turned myself around focusing my attention back on the students. I started walking past them and Hoseok was following me.

″Mija don’t forget to hold it like this″ I said while moving Mija’s hands a little apart from each other so she was holding it correctly.

″Also don’t forget your position. You need to stand stable best way is having your legs a little apart″ I said and she nodded her head. I walked further and unfortunately, Hoseok started to talk.

″You are wrong. You don’t really have to have your legs apart to stand stable″ he said making me turn around.

″Uhm yeah you do″ I said and he just shook his head.

″Wanna bet?″ he asked smirking.

″We will have a match and I will show you how stable I am without having my legs apart. If you win I will tell you where I went″

″And if I lose?″ I asked not fully trusting him.

″You have to obey one thing I tell you to do″ he said and I nodded my head. I could live with that. He threw me a bokken while he got himself one too. I took my position my legs slightly apart and bending while I held the bokken firmly in my hands. Hoseok just stood like he was going to win this easily and it was making me mad. He was clearly looking down on me.

″Ready?″ he asked and I nodded my head. Before I knew it he came at me in fast speed. I quickly blocked his bokken and spun lightly on my feet to get away from him. He smirked before he came to me again. This time I’m not going to back away. I easily dodged his attack by stepping to the side, I lifted my bokken ready to hit him but he quickly turned around and blocked it easily. He was actually standing chill not even in a stable position.

″You can give up if you want″ he said smiling making fun of me.

″In your dreams″ I said back while wanting to hit him again. This times I aimed for his legs who weren’t defended. But it was a mistake in a blink of an eye I felt my wrist with the bokken being grabbed. Hoseok twisted my arm making me let the bokken fall on the ground. He put my arm on my back while he brought his face next to my ear.

″I won″ he said softly before letting go of me. Just what I expected even tho I am a woman he didn’t go easy on me. Not that I wanted him to go easy on me it would only make me feel weaker. I shook my wrist a little because of the tight grip he had on it.

″Okay so what do I need to do″ I said irritated.

″I’m not going to give you a task now. I’m going to save it for when I really need you to do something″ he said making me roll my eyes at him. I grabbed the bokken from the floor and placed it back where it belonged. All my students weren’t even focusing on their study anymore. They were staring with amazing looks at Hoseok.

″Okay that’s it for today you guys are all dismissed″ and they all ran instantly to Hoseok, asking him to teach them. I gritted my teeth and walked away.

Midnight came, the sky was a beautiful dark blue color almost black and stars were filling the sky. I was walking around the village to check if everything was going alright together with some other members out of my clan.

″Aaaah!″ I heard a scream coming from afar and I quickly ran up to it with my katana firmly in my hands. My other clan members came and we all stood there our eyes widened and hands trembling. Tears started to form into my eyes seeing the old lady lying lifelessly on the floor. Her body cut open with blood flowing out of it. I gulped and shook my head its no time to be sad there is something wrong happening.

″Assassins″ I spoke and the other clan members looked at me shocked.

″We need to go lets head to the palace″ I said and everyone nodded their heads. We all put on our masks that covered our mouth and hoodie that was attached to our uniforms in case there were more assassins around so they wouldn’t know who we were. We hastily run the way to the palace but what my eyes saw only became worse. Assassins coming out of nowhere and they were attacking the village.

″Help me!″ I turned my head and saw a young woman backing away in fear with her child because of an unknown figure in front of her.

″Go to the palace I will catch up with you guys!″ My feets carried me at the speed of light towards the unknown figure. I didn’t have to think twice about who it could be, it was an assassin. I drew my katana and with one strike I split his body apart. The lady covered her child’s eyes quickly while crying.

″Go hide quickly!″

″Thank you″ she said trembling while running away to a safer place. I saw all the fighters in our clan appearing fighting against the unknown assassins. I made my way back to the palace.

″Isn’t that Hoseoks team?″ I spoke against myself seeing Nejo fighting. Nejo was Hoseoks best friend and was in Hoseoks team.

″Nejo where is Hoseok!″ I screamed. He quickly turned his head and his eyes widened when he saw me.

″The palace. Y/N you need to go also quickly!″ Nejo said and I nodded my head before running off again. They can handle it without me, right? I mean our clan isn’t that weak were strong we can handle this small attack right?

I soon reached the palace and without thinking stormed inside.

″Dad!″ I screamed happily finding my dad in the main room together with Hoseok, Kita and some higher-ups. Kita was a well-trusted woman in our village. You can say like the mother and she was very strong too. Scion, Edon, and Dominus were also present, they were the higher-ups. More like some kind of council members, but they were close to my dad. They were like his good friends they even fought by his side when my dad was the chief in the past. Especially Edon he and my dad were very close.

″Leader what’s going on outside?!” I asked desperately and my dad gave a sad look.

″We are under attack″

″By who?″ my dad looked away his expression only seeing more sad to me now.

″By who?″ I asked again while I stepped forward to my dad.

″By the ones who killed your mother,″ he spoke making me gasp. Memories came back into my mind of the awful night I don’t want to remember and tears were streaming down my face.

″Koga″ I said angrily my hands balling into fists.

″We can take them″ I said wanting to leave immediately to slaughter everyone one of them who was outside doing this to my village.

″Y/N wait″ Hoseok said grabbing me by my arm.

″We can’t take them″ Hoseok said making my eyes widen.

″What are you talking about? We can easily take them″ I said yanking my arm free.

″No we cant. I saw them when I went scouting. The ones attacking our village isn’t even half of them. There are more coming, we are outnumbered″ Hoseok said his voice calm and somehow gentle. I started to panic was this the end of us?

″What are we going to do?″ I asked.

″Leader?″ I asked once everyone remained silent still not giving me an answer.

″They won’t hurt us once I give in.″

″Are you kidding me!″ I screamed mad. What was with this cowardness action. The leader I know wouldn’t say such things. He would fight until his last breath.

″Y/N let your dad talk″ Scion said sternly making me gulp and shut my mouth.

″They are here for you Y/N. You need to leave now. I will give myself in and they won’t hurt the village anymore, they won’t kill us cause once they know you’re gone they want you to return. They do that by holding us hostage. You need to leave I won’t let them have you″

″What are you talking about why do they want me?″ I was getting confused and I began to break hearing that I had to leave.

″I’m not leaving, I’m not leaving you guys behind to save my own ass″ I said crying. I heard loud noises coming from outside meaning the Koga clan members were close.

″Hoseok will go with you. He will protect you″ my father said.

″Now go to this door you can easily go into the forest and escape″ my dad said pointing at a door in the back of the room.

″I’m not leaving!″ Hoseok came up to me and pulled me by my arm to the door.

″Let go! I’m not leaving!″ I started struggling and fighting him but I was just too weak and broken and nothing helped. Once we reached the door I finally yanked myself free out of Hoseoks grip.

″Y/N you’re coming with me now″ Hoseok said and I could hear that he was starting to get mad.

″You can’t tell me wh-″

″I won the bet remember, and I’m giving you the task to come with me now. You can’t disobey me″ Hoseok said sternly while he grabbed my hand. I turned around facing my father who gave me a reassuring look.

″Go and come free your village when you’re stronger. After all your the precious daughter of Arakile″ he said while I saw tears streaming down his face. I bit my lip not wanting to cry and nodded my head.

″They are in here!″ a voice screamed and Hoseok immediately grabbed me around my waist and left closing the door behind us.

″Dad!″
