Abominable poetry I write to try and make sense of myself and the world around me.
It is only late into the night that I show my true colours
What is restricted during waking hours is accepted without judgement
In daylight, my throat clamps around the words that mean the most
It's ironic how words can mean everything or nothing at all
Ironically still, it's funny how my mouth closes when I speak but opens up when I write it all down
I guess the darkness makes my words meaningful somehow.

I'm so glad you can relate! When I write I think I become the best and most authentic version of myself because I'm free from any pressure or judgement.
